- Raynflower's albino lemur character, Arron. He's so cute, I had to draw him. My commission books are reopened for the summer. =)
- This picture cedes explanation.
- My second time doing badges, and the first was years ago. Want to get a head start, or a cheap little commission? Feel free: http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction.pl?commission_genfur&1067784751
- I'm home.
- An anniversary commission.
- It occurred to me that I haven't uploaded any images of my avatar to Yerf. (Or actually created a semi-decent rendition of her until now.) Riaou. :3
- "Celebration of Death", black and white charcoal on newsprint. Death isn't gross. It's not scary. And it's certainly never meaningless. This bird was alive to me even in its last physical moments on earth.
- 11x17", watercolors, gouache, colored pencil. Heh. I had fun rendering this despite myself. (It's also the first time I've actually put to good use my blending Prismacolor marker.) Incidentally, I have a commission auction up on Furbid. :)
- This is the only thing really "furry" I've done in a few months. I went from schoolwork to commissions of drawing humanoids -- which is quite nice, really. A shame I didn't get to scan this after I had edited some mistakes (I gave the original to my teacher). But enjoy. :)
- Inspired by Anna's cat, here's... my bat. ,=) I love any holiday you can technically celebrate for 3 days or more.
- Anna is cooler than ALL of you.
- Inside every artist is a latent cartoonist (ie. "I LIEK KAHTOONZ TOO!!111").
- "The Giant Guppy", acrylics on board, about 18" x 14". This digital camera photo shows off the impasto better and the colors are a bit more accurate than the scan. A commission for Ebony Tigress, who insisted on being a patron even though she's also a good friend. Incidentally I'm also reopening my commission books for the summer.
- Graphic for a Cafepress bookbag I made for myself.
- "Whew!" I think accurately describes my feelings once I'd finished this one. :3 And silly me -- I'd declared that I was taking commissions again in my last upload, but failed to update my e-mail address! It is now [email protected].
- Metoometoo. :D
- See... I'm one who actually DOES think differently. ;3
- Hair, hair, hair. Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it, my hair. :3
- Fear my Photoshop skillz. I can transform any bad scan. Somebody challenge me.
- "The Marriage", 9x12". This commissioner is fond of giving me challenging ideas and I love him for it. Unfortunately, because of the contrast levels it's a bit hard to tell just how tusseled the both of them look. Feel free to see the hi-res version in the /new directory of my site.
- Maueh's sketchhhh. Some changes will be made to speak of "Maui" more than "pine marten". Final will be posted to VCL.
- Jyiis is takin a chill-pill, unfettered by such silly things as school, parents, unrequited love. Gouache. Left purposely unfinished because I figured that feeling obligated to finish it would defeat the purpose. (And other arteestic BS.)
- Commission for Shetani (and this character is Chiratani...) BLARG. Don't you hate it when you realize you should have made something like, say, a leg look longer only after you've finished and uploaded?
- Doobedoo. I moved into my new room in the dorm (a nice suite), but because the local cable franchise is a bunch of insert-highly-derrogatory-insult-here, and think that I owe them 300+ for services over the summer despite the fact that I returned the modem to them soon after I moved out, I've had LOTS of freetime to putz around with stuff like this. If you like the design of the character, don't worry, I'll have the regular version on my site as soon as I'm able.
- The model mythical family. The most fun part about this was definitely the expressions. Some will notice that they do not have tiger stripes in this image, while they do in Hunted; I chose to scan this in before I completed it because it was my opinion that the stripes clashed with the nature of tannebristic comic inking. ... And stuff.
- A picture I'm submitting to be in the FC conbook, or on flyers, or whatever anybody happens to put it on. I just felt like doodling something useful. It kept me thankfully busy, so that I wouldn't have to think too angrily on why my new portable mp3 player isn't working. :P
- The absence of that which is not needed.
- I think the thing I realized the most in my absence about fandom is the fact that it's so damn inbred. People readily settle for formulas that turn into fads that turn into tired old cliches. Long before I was even aware of fandom, I had a fox and red panda character. It's equally a blessing to find kindred spirits, I guess, and frustrating to realize that your ideas aren't quite so original. Nevertheless, I'm not starting a revolution. That's been tried and has failed many times over.
- 'Kay, this is one trend I can't pass up. ;) "Sleep well, my true love", the first rendering of any of my Pronambi characters in a year or maybe more. And yes, both are female. Coragule's hand needs some work, but I like the mood.
- Apologies for reupload. I belatedly fixed a few errors and scaled it down for smaller filesize. Pepper, the gnoll (based on those beautiful brown hyenas), teaching Daniel how to hunt. Both characters of Raynflower.
