- "Valkries" is only a post-Cold-War/sci-fi/action flick that I only appear as an avionics tech in. Occult experiments in the former Soviet Union opened a portal to our world for undead alien warriors-can't be killed by ordinary weapons so conventional fighters are fitted with unconventional weapons (Kreskin-5 missiles guided by psychic control!) And yes, a high-ranking govt. official IS posessed by the aliens, the audience will spot him right away. But MY dialog? [Pilot: "Think this thing'll fly, Gene?" Me: "If it doesn't, you'll be the last to know."]
- This weekend I had the chance to get into some of my classic jazz on vinyl. Don't get me wrong... I like CD's, and have a huge collection of them, too... but vinyl LP's have a special charm all their own. Hope you're having as good a Memorial Day weekend as I'm having. :)
- He's a big wolf, but not a bad wolf. He's Woulfe, and he wanted a picture from Yours Mewly. I'm trying to find it... it's around here somewhere. Patience, Woulfe. (Who is © Chris Tom Cimafranca)
- This is the graphic image of the Christmas Card I sent out to everyone on my snail-mail list. If you weren't on it :( then you get to see it here, now! :)
- I am gonna figure out this 'borkdurp' stuff if it's the last thing I do...
- Here's a picture of myself being escorted past the XenoAnthropology department at Kapteyn's Star by my Capellan friend, B-Artisan. He knows these worlds better than I do, and his assistance is proving invaluable to me in my intergalactic studies. :) B-Artisan is © the inimitable Barclay Johnson.
- My entry in the divine Ms. Erin M's sketchbook! Many thanks to her and the charming Chilly Mouse for getting it to me. :)
- The last time you all saw Gene Jr, he was a baby. In the story that CatsWhisker and I created, he will grow up to be an FCO (Flightforces Control Officer) in Galactic Defense. Here he is, leaving home.. permanently, on his first tour of duty. He says he'll make us proud of him. As if we weren't already... :)
- I've been asked by a fan on FT about my character, and when I first came up with the idea for him. I actually used him in a short-lived comic strip back in '92-93 but had thought of him looooong before that. This is one of my model sheets from that period.
- My first contact with Thomas K. Dye was via E-mail. He did some great pictures featuring Gene meeting his his ebullent media crew, the Newshounds. This was the picture I sent in reply. Now that Mr. Dye has made the jump to the SCFA, you'll recognize all of his characters in this picture! :)
- Here's the sketch that I did for Jen Aside's Black Book. :)
- This is a quick little picture I did gratis for Kendall's player, since he was so appreciative of my work. :)
- Hi Cyber! This should clue you as to which Trek I like! Oh, and as a rule of thumb: Trekkies *like* Star Trek, Trekkers do *not*. All Trekkers discuss is the show's "potential", what it "could have been/ could be/should be", it's "impact on 20th century culture", etc, etc. (ZzZz) They loathe the first series, hate the 1st 3 years of NextGen, and barely tolerate the rest. Quick check: If you *would* be caught dead wearing a ST uniform in public, you're a Trekkie, NOT a Trekker. ;)
- The AAWD's Sully Fox, General of All Really Cool Stuff, ready to dispense his wisdom and leadership to the world!
- And here is a commission pic done for my longtime peregrine pal C Eagle! (He applied the digital coloring as well!) And all characters are © their creators.
- Another request pic from the fine Federation fur Fetch of the Marine OIC aboard his vessel. ( © Larry Henderson)
- That was an absolutely adorable picture you did, Clio! I certainly hope Flame will understand that Gene Jr. is very, very little, and hasn't learned yet that you can't catch bubbles. He'll behave himself better once he gets older. :)
- Well, if the slugs are happy about it, I'm happy about it. (Just don't slime up my jeans!) It's true, I've no heart for taking life. Saw enough friends gone iRL when I was growing up. (And especially not tonight, after Kevin J, Fuzzybear & Dingus gave me a wonderful birthday party. Which I will draw soon! :) )
- This is just a casual drawing of Abe Groter's character (I refuse to call him a screw up... he isn't!). It took me a while to get him looking relaxed, but I think I did a good job. :)
- Yes, Dad does need a jump-start from time to time... but once you get him going, he's great! He often has more fun than everybody else!
- Get well soon, Cuanu! :)
- Catnel convalesces! Get well Catnel. :)
- Just another drawing done onsite at the little get- together "HaleyCon" yesterday! Haley and I jumping for joy with KPET cameradog Kevin getting some action shots. Sure, it rained a bit, but it's always fair weather when furs get together! :) Kevin is © Thomas K. Dye and Haley is © Candy Lewin!
- And another warm welcome to another talented friend whom I have had the pleasure of E-mail corresponding with, also new to the SCFA! Hale-Bopp "Haley" Hedgehog! Sheboygan to you, Haley... and I'm watching for empty 'Jolt' cola cans! :) Haley is © Candy Lewin
- My old friend Prof. Burton Badgerton has asked if it might be possible for him to meet some of my new friends! Though I've done quite a bit of commission work for him, he's been absent from my SCFA postings for a while, so, Professor... meet the lowest-flying comet in the entire furry world... Haley! :) Prof. Badgerton © Clifford Lieder - Haley Hedgehog © Candy Lewin
- Yes, I sure did want Emilie to draw Hank before she was gonna be unable to post to Yerf for awhile. Hank has "the true heart". :) I hope your art will be back whenever you can bring it to us, Emilie...:)
- A picture of Emilie Bosworth-Clemens' frontier fox for her birthday, belated as it unavoidably was. (The *drawing*, not the birthday, of course! <:) ) Sorry... work is keeping me from much. Hank, it seems, is nonplussed about such things. Lucky him. :) Hank © she with the really charming name.
- Why do you think the picture you uploaded was bad, Eldria? I liked it! (and I don't think that's an imposter in it, either!) It's wonderful to see your style evolve! I, for one, don't want you to take it down... but if you do, can I keep the medal? :) Eldria Fox © herself
- And here's the scan of the birthday pic I did for Fuzzybear, who unfortunately is not feeling too well. Get well soon, Fuzzybear... <:)
- Here's the scan of the birthday pic I did for the Trixilop, which I got to give her in person today. Had a great time, as usual. :) Only kinda sorry that Fuzzybear couldn't join us, due to illness... :(
