It was so pleasant to meet AltarSkunk iRL at AnthroCon this year (albeit briefly) that I wanted to draw something proper for his birthday this year. (As opposed to the rather skimpy one I did last year. *^_^*) I kept envisioning him taking a contemplative stroll in a church courtyard at sunset... so I hunkered down and drew it. (I played Rimsky-Korsakov's "Russian Easter Overture" a *lot* while doing so. :) )
Oh, man... I forgot Amara's birthday again? I made a special note last year on my calendar too. Bleah. Oh well... I wanted to draw something nice for her in recognition of her becoming an official Star Wars artist and she looks *cool* in a Rebel pilot uniform! :)
I'd been working on rendering Barclay Johnson's 1999 model of the Bigfella Machine for his birthday pic. But he said he's becoming inclined toward having B-Artisan as his Yerf representative. And well he should, for Capellans are neat. :) Happy B-day, B.J. (And Emily Stoll too.. yeek! All these b-days at once!)
Chilly Mouse falling apart? Never! Never, I say! :)
Inside sources tell me that the dauntless Dingus had a birthday not too long ago! But he didn't let anyfur know. Now, how could I let such an occasion pass without recognition... especially after the wonderful things that he and Fuzzybear and Kevin J did on my birthday? Gotta call the squad...! :)
Sully suggested I do a pic of the Raccoon Kids hugging Mr. Blumrich for his birthday. I ran it by 'em. They said (in unison) "Er... you go first." Umm...
Every so often I get an image in my mind that just sticks there until I draw it. For Kelvin's birthday I went ahead and did just that. (Went 'whole hog' with the background, too.) For some reason I keep picturing Kelvin as a character in one of those classic big-screen epics, like the ones Cecil B. DeMille used to do and such. I played the soundtrack to "The Ten Commandments" while I drew this. :) Kelvin the Lion is © the mighty Chris Farrington
An even more belated birthday greeting for Oldrabbit! Sorry... should have gotten it done sooner. <:) Oldrabbit is © Donald Brown :)
A belated birthday pic for the marvelous marsupial Spaceroo! I dug through my collection of old pulp mags and found this illustration from the April '51 issue of F3 (Fur, Fin & Feather) Science Fiction. Hope you like it. :) (Spaceroo is © John Siemer)
Didn't mean to be late with this, but they had me on temp.assignment at the plant, and all you can do there is get/send e-mail. This is just my birthday greeting to the most talented and friendliest fur that I've ever met. You're the greatest, pal. :)
A belated birthday greeting for Taan! Sorry for the lateness. It shall not be repeated. I was making rather merry yesterday. :) And I had the same problem Taan had with mine. Getting the coloring (or whatever) right on these birthday pics is tricky... :) Taan © Jessica Park
A birthday picture for the wonderful Tapestry! © the equally wonderful Kyono Malnassy! (P.S. The one you drew for yourself was *exquisite*, Tapestry! :) )
A belated Happy Birthday to one of the nicest furs anywhere. It was great to finally meet you iRL at AAC, Altarskunk! :)
Huh?? The bounce-a-ramic PsychoVixen's birthday is today?? Why doesn't somebody TELL me these things?! :)
A belated birthday greeting to the undisputed queen of the Squeeky Hamma! The truly neat Angel is © the equally neat Marie Lu. :)
Happy birthday to the amazing AzyCat! From the CATLOWTRON and myself, naturally! Azy is © her own cool self! :)
Couldn't let the chance go by to wish a happy 18th to the marvelous mousie who's cooler than cool.. 'cause she's Chilly! All kinds happy stuff to ya C.M. :)
Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to one of the most delightful artists on the SCFA, Confetti. A truly wild hare! :) Hope you have a happy one! Confetti © Kristen George
Happy birthday to one of the nicest artists on Yerf! The Kids *love* your stuff, Digo, and so do I. Thought about baking you a cake, but I think somefur already did, and besides Rudy would probably get to it before you did. :) Digo is © the totally cool Diosden Rodriguez!
The princely procyon celebrates his 21th natal day (or, rather, has already celebrated it.. wanted to finish it yesterday but stuff happens :P) Happy Bithday, Digo. :)
Just a nice pic for Digo's birthday. :)
Just a quiet rendering of Starset for the birthday of a most wonderfully talented artist. I hope you had a nice birthday, Emilie. :) (I just got home from FurCon, and a whole lot went on *there*...)
Geez, I oughta pay more attention when I hit Yerf. A quick Happy Birthday to the neatest not-a-bunny anywhere. And Hysteria, *I* visit your site! :)
Well, Jamie, your big day is finally here. I debated for a long time about what to get you for your birthday, and after seeing all the families you pal around with, I finally decided: Buy a bunch of tickets and hustle your kids (along with the Raccoon Kids) off to the movies so that you and Janie could spend a little time together by yourselves! :) The Jaleckis are © J. Malecki
Ordinarily I try not to use "inside jokes", but this was too nice to resist. For those of you who have bought the talented Thomas K.Dye's new Newshounds collection, this will make perfect sense to you. :) For those of you who haven't, a heartfelt 'Tsk tsk'! Kevin J's birthday is today! Don't you feel just a tiny twinge of remorse? Okay, okay.. I shouldn't lay it on so thick. Happy birthday to one of the hardest-working canines in the furry comic game! :)
It's his birthday... so, I say, today, the pooch WINS one for a change! Go Kev! :)
Something for the cool canine's birthday. :)
A birthday greeting for the pooch of power, who just recently got his own place. Wow, all my friends seem to be moving away. Is it something I said? <:)
Ever since the new Newshounds debut, I've been wondering how successful I'd be with rendering Kevin. Well, things turned out about the way I surmised (though I may draw a stern reproof from TKD), though I'm delighted by most of their new look, I simply cannot draw Kev with that much avoirdupois. Maybe not quite as buff, but... this is as close as I can get. Happy everything, old pal!
The tradition continues. :) Kev recently used that time-honored metaphor in his comic of little versions of oneself sounding off at you. But of course, Kev is far more complex a canine than such simple icons can represent, and so... :)
