- ...and his back. Pencil on paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 12 / 2001
- Magnus, now fully aware of the scope of his mission, briefs Virinia on it, and informs her that he may not be back for perhaps a year or more. She is not pleased by the news, and will Miss Magnus. Magnus, tryingto molify her, suggests he drafts a letter, granting her his estate, should he not return. This does not cheer her up. Pencil on Paper. scott A. H. Ruggels 12 / 2000
- However, for Magnus it wasa different story. Alpha Mother told the children to playwith Magnus, andshow him how to have fun. The children found his air of dignity an irresistable target. They would play around him, hang off of him, pul onhis cloak, or tail, and various other distractions. Magnus endured it, fora while, but his temper was only so long, and eventually they drove him into a rage... Pencil on paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 1 / 2003.
- ..and if Magnus looked like he would lose his temper and strike one of the youngsters, there were always a few adults and subadults around to remind him of his manners with a cough or a stare. Eventually Magnus would spend time away from the camp except for meals and sleeping, spending as little time as he could amongst the Tribe. pencil on paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 1 / 2003
- Even Magnus got into the spirit of the task and found a pedestal, with a pair of distinctly lupine feet still attached to it, though the statue had shattered to dust.
- Thank you all for the positive responses to this series of drawings. It has been most gratifying. Well I don't know much background yet, but she has a brother. This is him. There are males as well as females. Scott A. H. Ruggels 2/2000
- This is the big brother showing what two weapons he prefers. Sling for distance, and a "hand and a half, up close. Apparently he was not the favored child of the family as he has no armour, though he and his sister do seem to get along well. Pencil on paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 2/2000
- Here is Big brother, watching his sister's evaluation fights with 'The Young Lord", "The Lupine Lord", and the "Old armsman' respectively. This also shows him tightening his leg tapes or 'puttees'. I wanted to see his reactions. Characters are fun. Pencil on paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 2/2000.
- This is Asheru's "pain in the ass", the Lupine Lord. As you can see on the page names are pencilled in, but nothing final yet (leaning towards Magnus, or Marcus). Around the central figure are expression studies. The armour is roughly Byzantine style with Early Moslem influence. Scott Ruggels 3 / 2000
- When Asheru's party moves east, they find another settlement of mixed Lupines and humans far to the East, The remanents of "St. Kilthemall"'s expedition of previous years. They are lacking in Imperial polish, but are more militant, and devoted to the one true church. Theseare the two top males in the local fighting force. I haven't decided yet to make the one on the right all black or all white. The one on the left is grey, shading to black. The symbol in the middle is the old "Peasant's version" of the religious symbol, made of straw or sticks. Scott Ruggels 4 / 2000
- Here we see the second in command, trying to chat up a skeptical Asheru. Pencil on paper Scott Ruggels 4 / 2000
- The locals approached, but as they got closer, and they saw not only lupines in the party, but also the six armed symbol of the faith, the tension evaporated, and their unusually marked leader welcomed them using oddly accented formal %94Lingua Formalia%94, welcomed them to the village. - During times of terrorist campaigns, civil unrest, or other upheavals, The Militia is called out, here a noble gives instructions to a Civilian, (eating) and a reservist. Jaggiri individually are excellent fighters, but teamwork takes time to train for. Ink on Paper. Scott Ruggels 7 / 2002
- Priestess Miri is the religious leader of the opposition to the Jaggiri occupation. Jaggiri are very poor at ranged weapons, so their Assasin, is a professional sword master. Too bad Miri knows magic and martial arts. Epic fight, but Miri lives to see another day. Ink on paper. Scott Ruggels 7 / 2002
- Off to the San diego Comic-Con. Hopeto see some of you there! This Pick is a brush inked piece. it depicts the jaggiri combat uniform from the time of "Grandmother's War", the last major conflict before first contact. The design thought, was do do the uniform with the samelimitations that Early WW2 or late WW1 uniforms had, in that there were no plastics and synthetic fibres, and the use of impact armour was limited, because of expense. I will color this eventually, but the base color is the same as Tsurukh in her dress Sands. Image © 1999 Scott A. H. Ruggels
- This one goes out to a couple of my fans aboard ship right now, somewhere in the vast seas. The Idea for the card came to me upon waking on Tuesday morning, and I drew it quickly, coloring it in Photoshop. I may make it a theme. This goes out to all who defend outr skies, shores and freedom, wherever and whatever service they are in. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. (Happy Chanukah Larry, you nut! :-)) Scott A. H. - A piece of art done for a friend I owe. This is Njozi'joshi, from the DNAnimals game on RealityFault (http://realityfault.rdwarf.com/). Her player asked specifically for "a *real* person, not some ditzy blonde smuggling watermelons in her shirt!" Character was described as a professional "Leader type",of a paramilitary. Used a varient of oCeLoT's brown paper bag technique for the photoshopwork. Pen & Ink & Photoshop. Scott A. H. Ruggels 7 2000
- A sketch of two Jaggiri Guards keeping the peace in an occupied town. Intended tobe inked, but never completed. The one on the right is the veteran in the standard armour, the oneon the left is in the "War Economy" issue, aand carries a weapon which is a pole, with a large "natural Rubber" ball on the end,and a metal capped pointon the other. A "Crowd Control" weapon. The vet carries the sword. Pencil on paper. Scott Ruggels 7 / 2002.

- "In Our Own Nest" I don't usually draw birds, so this is rough, but I did this last night in bed, listening to the news. Tips on drawing better birds gratefully accepted. I haven't been this angry in a very long time. Copic Markers, on Manga Board, colored In photoshop. Scott Ruggels 9/11-12/01

- As a public service to the new members of YERF, Asheru here displays a chart showing the proper method of wrapping "Puttees" or "spiral leg Wraps". Asheru is mine, but the images come from a Japanese Military Manual. She thanks you for your attention. G-pen on recycled paper. Scott Ruggels 9 / 2000
- Joycelyn Dunn wrote:, "I could really use an M-79, explosive rounds, and some C4 right about now..." A little late on my end, but more than happy to oblige, This is a response to a picture she posted on 11/20/2000. Folks, here's a tip. If you are suffering from artists block, draw someone else characters. Charactrers © Joycelyn Dunn. Pencil on Paper. Scott A. H. Ruggels 1 / 2000
- A couple of trends this week. Noting the shifts in fashions. Pen and brush inks and Photroshop toning. All characters depected are the property of their respective creators. Scott Ruggels 3 / 2000
- Sometimes for the re-enactor's newsletter, I will draw anthro - caricatures of various members of the unit. This one is of Mike, a.k.a. "The rabid Squirrel". Mike is known for his small stature, his boundless energy, and his suicidal fearlessness, when bearing a full belt of ammo and a loaded Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) in the field. He also can be a devious li'l cuss. Mike just recently made Second Lieutenant...We're Doomed... :-) I may color this at some point. ©1999 Scott A. H. Ruggels

- This is a "political Cartoon" from an RP of a few years ago. It was generated as a reflection to the political, and public response to Rokhan's sharp, and vicious defense of his employers weapons research and voluminous trade in small arms. This was a surprise to the rest of the council, andthey were fearful of the otherwise reasonable diplomat. It was a fun RP ..for a time. Ink on Paper, with Photoshop toning. Originally done in May or June of 1998. Scott A. H. Ruggels 12 / 2001
