- Jonathan begins to consider alternate career paths. Dracula flips out about wandering around the castle. Thirty pages. Wow. Please excuse slowness with e-mail. I am absent minded and too busy to be doing this. But I ain't stopping yet ;)
- hmm.. maybe he does like his job.
- I'm going to start lettering by hand, cuz emailing these things from computer to computer is annoying, and the whole process makes it a lot less pleasant than simply -making- the page. Less polished, but I like the look of hand letters, and will hopefully get better with the balloons as I practice. Trying to get back on daily schedule.. bah :P
- photos, exposition
- soo gothic...
- I think I'm getting better with the passing-time thing, at least better than page 22. Possibly more to come tonight, if I can get stuff done to cover my trip this week, otherwise, back friday.
- The website's taking longer than I wanted, and I missed the comic, so I'm starting it again anyway. Betcha thought I'd given up.
- No, look behind you! BEHIND YOU! Magic disapearing reappearing crusifix now fixed. Heh..
- Vampire related shaving injuries...
- Never a good sign..
- this page is giving me trouble, for several reasons... I don't have much free time today, so the art's more rushed than I like, and I'm still trying to figure out how much I want to add to the existing text... in a comics format, I either make up what people say when the text summerises a conversation, or fill the whole thing up with huge chunks of Jonathan's diary. This is turning out to be an interesting exersise, and, at least, I've kept up with doing one a day... I do like the page, regardless. woo.
- I'm still getting used to my new pens, but I think once I do, they'll lend themselves well to the effect I'm trying to get, here... Durned tricky page, this one.
- In the book, in his diary, all Johnathan says is that this annoys him because he can't shave properly. Not frightened at all. Really.
- Over the course of 42 pages, I've gone from hating Jonathan to loving the character, which comes from drawing him so often and actually putting thought into what he's doing. This is the end of Chapter 2 in the book, and from now on, I'll be uploading to the comic's own web site, www.furnation.com/coyotepuck/dracula, and not here. Not to say I won't upload here... you know what I mean.
- I spent an inordinate amount of time on this, so I wanted to post it here... many references were killed to make this page.
- "Dear Mr. Harker, I am a Transylvanian noble who is trying to export a large amount of money into London real estate. Transfering money in my war torn country is strict. Your name and e-mail were given to me as a reputable person. I would be willing to share over a million dollars for your help. Please send me your bank account numbers, and come visit me in the Carpathians, so we can complete this transaction..." uh... right...
- Some of my earliest memories are riding through the woods at night, drifting off to sleep, waking up, and taking a bit to remember where I am and what's going on. The transition between this page and the last is a little abrubt... that'll resolve itself in the next one. He's still waking up, after all..
- I won't get to draw the big-eyed cat lady any more, and that makes me sad.
- I apologise for that wagon. I drew in the horses, and assumed they would draw the wagon. They didn't do too well a job. Probably irritated that I didn't really put them in the picture... that is, here's the newest page, wherein Jonathan gets booted from the nice warm ride, at Borgo pass. In the book, there's a bit of conversation between the driver of Jonathan's old ride, and the driver of his new one, but I decided to leave that out in favor of leaving him out there in the cold for a moment.
- I finished this one up on my mom's computer, the one with the scanner, but I think that's a failed experiment. I'll go back to emailing them to myself. She has no proper image editor.
- I had a migrane yesterday, and managed to get this out despite it.. and was then informed that my hosts had no internet access anyway, so the forces of evil truly did win ;P Comic is coming later tonight.
- I need to work on -something else- now. Eheh ;P It started out as Painter practice.
- Dragon with a Celtic Knot border. Alizarin Crimson is my new favorite color.
- A little dragon/falcon thing I made up while at work and drew while sitting in a waiting room.
- See, I can draw more than just the heads :) Just a rather bored looking dragon and a rather unfortunate lizard knight guy
- A picture I did for my mom for our family's Christmas card
- Emmet Cenoven, cardinal pirate. He used to be a gennet, but none of you knew him, so it doesn't matter.
- Emmit Cenoven, kenaki pirate. Same as the old one, except... not.
- Thiefly goblin and a sleeping dragon. If this isn't furry (dragony?) enough, let me know.
- This started as a sketch doing character designs and costumes from memory, then I inked it too much.
