- One of my roommates has a good collection of costume references, which I've realized I should be taking more of an advantage of. Uhm.. the pose is undynamic because he's standing for the photograph.. yeah.. and people didn't move around much in the Victorian age, anyway. Living in black and white tends to do that, see. Er...
- Stoat guy in a heavy cloak, etc. Arms are too long.. ignore that.
- Fooling around with lighting when I'm tired enough that I probably shouldn't be fooling around in Photoshop.. haven't done a dragon in a while...
- Page one of a project possibly too large for me to take on right now, but I'm gonna try anyway. I've been meaning to for ages. Of course, this whole Dracula business was created by Bram Stoker, and is in the public domain.
- Inked with brand new black marker. Makes me excessivly happy. So happy that I almost forgot to put this up today.
- Are we there yet? Are we theeeere yet?
- Here come the wolves.
- More wolf wackiness.
- This page makes me happy, and I wanted to upload something.
- This has been done for a few hours, but I didn't get it scanned until now.. but I didn't miss my personal deadline, dangit! Really! At any rate, this is one of my favorite mental images from the story. There won't be a Wednesday comic. I got wrapped up in stuff, and have decided that Wednesday will be my day off from this. However... Next - the castle!
- Web host ftp is still broken. This is today's comic.
- The setup is done... this is where the story begins. I wanted this page to be really cool, and kept putting it off today because I was worried it wouldn't turn out how I wanted it to, but I like how it ended up.
- It's hard to come up with comments for these things. Jonathan arrives.
- Quincy P. Morris, chasing ravens.
- Dracula is really durn fun to draw.
- R. M. Renfield.
- Three pages today, since I'm more productive when I drink a lot of soda, apparently.
- Dracula was on tonight, which was both helpful and distracting as I tried to draw this while watching television. Got some new ideas for later on, which was nice
- It gets more interesting when Jonathan stops babbling about the paprika... bear with this... ;)
- He never drinks...wine
- Dracula seems to enjoy cooking. Suppose he doesn't get to do that often.
- a bit of time is passing here... I don't think I made that clear enough. I have to resist the temptation to redo it, though, or I'll never get anywhere.
- the cheeldren of the night...
- One of the reasons I'm doing this project is to get practice with comics, putting myself in the possition where I have to make myself draw things I usually skip over. Backgrounds aren't my strong point, and I've been making a point to try to force 'em out. My dad came home with the film the Fearless Vampire Killers, which, aside from being mildly amusing, had a nice interior castle set, and it's inspired me to push a little more on decorating this place.
- Here's a prime example of the characters not being aware that they're actually fuzzy animals. Except that now Jonathan's less fuzzy. I need sleep...
- Don't try to analyse Dracula's handwriting, or you'll find out he's an introverted, left-handed artist...
- Jonathan wandering... there won't be a comic tomorrow, but I'll upload on Wed.
- establishing shots mean never feeling guilty for black background page. In theory.
- I spent a long while on this one. It was supposed to be Halloween's page, but I overestimated the free time I'd have yesterday way too much. Somewhere other than Transylvania! Woo! We'll get to more of this later...
- All those years of German classes finally paid off.
