- Denali, getting a jump on Saint Patrick's Day... Erin Go Bragh!
- Yahoo! New scanner! No more transfering from Mac at work to PC at home!! OK, I've recovered now...I thought I'd try my hand at a winged snow leopard..he looks deep in thought. Inked, with coloured pencil. This original is up for auction at FurBid.
- A pair of snowy owls on a peahen tailfeather...painted while I sat my booth at a Western and Wildlife Art Show last weekend.
- FROOOOG! Until this Summer, I thought nothing looked more ridiculous than a cat on a screen door. Then I saw......that! :oP
- Commission, barn swallows at their home in an evergreen. Peahen tailfeather.
- A random pencil sketch... could probably work a story around it.
- Long-awaited commission, acrylics on watercolour paper. It's Tanya, as a snow leopard! I wish the scanner would show the full detail of the piece, I put a lot into this one. Character is © Tanya.
- An idea for a tarot deck I've had in my head for a very long time. The intent was to be anthro, with a fairy tale/storybook feel to it. "The Hanged Fox", major arcana, card 12. Acrylics on Bristol. Lousy scan.
- And the race is on. Drawing in progress... still needs a *lot* of work.
- *Trying* to put more realism into my wolves. Acrylic on peacock feather.
- "To Greener Pastures" is the title of this piece. Bull elk in snowy mountain pass. Acrylics on wing feather.
- YAY! I finally finished another one of those "Oh-Lord-Am-I-Ever-Going-To-Get-This-Finished" stipple projects! Done on Bristol with a .005 Micron, the totem is my own original composition, after lengthy study of traditional Haida design. The flying eagle is in line-work, to contrast with the totem stippling.
- Play ball! Inked coloured pencil sketch of Twilight, one of my characters, rooting on the home team. Original at FurBid, http://furrybid.transform.to/cgi-bin/auction.pl?furry&1022962192
- "Up A Tree". Raccoon mama and her kits. Acrylics on peahen feather.
- At last... a long-awaited Vicki Fox commission for the very patient Michael Russell. Detail was considerably compromised in this low-res scan. All characters are © to Mr. Russell, of course. Thanks, Mike... this was loads of fun to paint!
- Microns on 11 X 14 Bristol paper. Thick lines, thin lines, stylizations, and very little perspective. Trying to mimic the appearance so common in Doodle Art posters. This water dragon is #2 in a series of four dragon colouring posters.
- I know, it's a big 'un. Didn't want to scale it down any further, as you might not be able to see much of the detail then. 3 feathers, painted as a wedding gift. Although this "frame job" was done in Photoshop, it is essentially how I'll matting it in suede, in a shadow box. ©to me, of course, and the coastal critters © to the Pacific Northwest! ;o)
- I couldn't resist! So many artists portraying mystical weres adorned with feathers, I HAD to turn things around. So here's a feather wearing a were! He's dressed in typical late-19th-century Nez Perce attire, complete with pipe. If you like him, you can bid on him at http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction.pl?furry&1022456502
- A commissioned feather of a white tiger. My scanner reeeally didn't like this one.
- A pair of wolves enjoy a brief reprieve from winter's harsh cold, within the sanctity of their den.
- It's been a long time since I've posted any painted peacock feathers! Seeing Brian's recent *gorgeous* fox paintings prompted me to trot this one out...a white wolf, with ice-blue eyes. Acrylic painting on actual wing feather~~an art form I've been doing for about 12 years now.
- Less realistic, just fun. Three wolves out for a tussle while a gray squirrel looks on from the safety of his perch. This one's available at Lucas Gallery's new holiday location in Puyallup, WA.
- I used a different technique with this one, in that I blocked in all the colors of the ducks first, then went back and detailed each portion. The colors came out more crisp as a result. One of many painted feathers bound for the Ellensburg art show this weekend.
- Pencil illustration. My part for an upcoming zine, "The Tapestry". Characters © Tanamin.
