- "Do Not Disturb" I thought I'd try a comic. Hm...yeah...maybe I'd better not try again!
- Tried doing an equine morph...hats off to you Yerfers who can do good hoofed furries; coming up with believable hands is hard! Btw...please don't think this is a rip on a *really cool* graveyard scene that was up recently...I started this rascal a month ago to try to understand Photoshop better. *shrugs*
- Two ermines, fit-to-be-tied! Attempting to learn the principles of Celtic knotwork...keeping it basic, for now.
- "Can't catch me *that* easy!" Closeup of feather painting, rainbow trout shaking a lure.
- "Sing it, Ma!" Lost detail in the scan of this mother timber wolf and her cub. One of many, many painted feathers bound for Alaska. Photoshop background.
- Put more seeds in the feeder? Please? They're scaring me...
- "All he wanted was to sit quietly beneath the cork tree, and smell the flowers." My take on a favourite old childrens' story. #2 pencil.
- Celtic zoomorphic. Acrylic on watercolour card. I kept the consistency loose to mimic watercolour. An experimental combination of traditional Haida melded with traditional Celtic... a concept I intend to experiment with profusely, but I won't bore you with much of it here! 'Twasn't easy twisting a Haida bird into a Celtic shape! ;o)
- Whole lotta doodling on the Wacom. This is for all my Cub Scout kiddo's, and will be on the program cover for our Pack's Blue and Gold party. This year's theme: Fiesta!
- Happy birthday, Julie!
- Red Fox on a peahen wing feather. Commissioned work. Sorry for the wide file, feathers make for an odd shape!
- Yeesh! It's been FOREVER since I've posted anything here! The chaos of moving across the country... :o( Anyhoo... here's a rather caprine/bovine-looking gargoyle. This'n sold a while back. I wanted to create a gargoyle character that would fit in with the Disney characters, but be a completely unique character himself...how many bull/goat gargoyles have you seen? LOL!
- Killing time, waiting for paint to dry on a big commission... so I mouse-coloured this pen-and-ink drawing in Photoshop while I wait. A greyhound palace guard, in a different sort of style for me.
- Fun with a #2 pencil! I whipped out this cartoon sketch of a coyote and his *very* unlikely prey whilst waiting on my stupid dialup. ::: kicks server!:::
- Just a pencil sketch for now; I'll do more with it later. Three mouse kiddo's playing a card game.
- A recent feather destined for a show this weekend. Inspired by Springer, our little orphan Orca calf here in Puget Sound. She's back home with her pod now, off North Vancouver Island.
- A portion of a stretched canvas/acrylic I've been working on far too long. The blossoms on my lilac bush have since withered away to twigs, but I'm still plodding along with the painting. This, and others - will hang in Tacoma next month in my solo exhibition.
- At long last,I'm emerging from Scanner Misery. It's working, but not well... as you can see. <:o/ Inspired by "The Green Man" by Irish pop singer Martin Donelly; painted in acrylics, with coloured pencil background. And YES, I painted each of those leaves... one - at - a - time. *whimper* ~
- Grisette the Archer Genet, final version. Painted in acrylics with coloured pencil environment and Photoshop sky. You could see the individual hairs in her fur, but the work scanner killed the detail. Whine! I'm buying a scanner this weekend!

- The previous pic made it difficult to see the detail, so here's a close-up. :o)

- I was inspired by a comment on the stylization in the Spirit Heron design of a feather previously posted... and so I took that image concept a little further in detail with pen-and-ink and paper. I added the grey tone with Photoshop. I like the results well enough that I may try other animals.
- A Haida-style hummingbird, with native Pink Fireweed. The plant took a lot of rehashing in design to get it stylized and simplified enough to go with the hummer. Acrylics on parchment.
- Leaping Salmon. A redo of an older design. This is based heavily on Haida design principles, with some tweaking here and there. Micron pen.
- Yerf is back online! Woohoo!
- A stipple-work, Micron .005 on 11 X 14 bristol, for exhibition. A pair of Great Blue Herons, standing still as the stones on this rocky Northwestern shoreline. My eyesight will never be the same! :oP
- Commissioned feather. Breaching humpback whales near a glacial floe, Glacier Bay. Wish I could show you the true colour; this is a lousy scan.
- One good reason to secure your food when you camp. Acrylics and ink.
- Just a personal photo update.
