- When on those 4th of July picnics, beware of attacks from above! Coloured pencil, Photoshop.
- One more feather... a lone bald eagle surveys his soggy world after the storm. Seemed appropriate with all the rain we've been getting here!
- It's just an inked sketch idea... for a painting I'll tackle later on, once I catch up! The finished piece will be set in the deep jungles of India, as you can probably tell by the peafowl mount.
- Commission for Eric Hinkle, "Ardashir". Acrylic painting on Bristol. I had *entirely* too much fun with this one... with references to historic Persian and Scythian, and nomadic cultures of the Middle East, I had opportunity to research my little brains out! Ardashir looks on in amazement as the Jackal girl dances before him, waving her tail-sock beneath his nose. Much of the fine detail was lost in scaling down the file size! :o(
- This is Twilight, a little bat femme. She's sitting and reflecting on the head of a gargoyle statue, in some unnamed European city at dusk. Moody-looking little thing, isn't she?
- The raw scan of this pencil sketch was over a meg, so I reeeally had to size it down! :o( Forcing myself to move away from colour, to concentrate on form, values, lighting, etc. *sigh*... I need a LOT of work!
- My cheesecake picture for the summer... a pair of boobies in a bikini...ok, I'll stop now! ;oP
- Painted male peafowl tailfeather. Great Blue Heron, which is strikingly similar to the European Grey Heron. This blue is accompanied with a "spirit heron" of my own invention, based loosely on the fundamentals of traditional Haida design.
- Bohemian Waxwings painted on a peahen feather. The "bg" is one colour-combination I'm contemplating for matting. One of many destined for my solo exhibition this Summer.
- Someone had posted warplane anthro-type nose-art images here recently at Yerf. Very cool stuff. Those images inspired me to try one using my bat character. Lousy attempt though, I just got this Wacom and I'm still trying to figure it out. :-P
- *I fully expect to be shot out of the Chicken Cannon for this, but*.....BOOBIES! Yerf needs more boobies! From left to right, the Brown Booby, the Red-Footed Booby, the Blue-Footed Booby, and the Masked Booby. Yessir, it's a regular booby convention! Silly inked doodle, with coloured pencil.
- 1/3 of a piece in progress, "The Bremen Town Musicians", in acrylics on Bristol paper. Bristol's ok, but I think from here in, I'll stick to watercolour paper for painting. In books, the dog is always depicted as a German Shorthair. Through research, I found that Weimeraners were around back then, so that's what I used.
- Acrylics on Bristol. This is another portion of that big panel I'm doing of Grimm's "Bremen Town Musicians". I'll take down these two snippets and post the entire piece once it's completed.
- Pen-and-ink. Remember back when your "new pet" was whatever you could find up a tree, or under a rock?
- Completed caribou stipple. Title, "Tundra Monarch". The young bull on the right looks like he may have some leadership aspirations of his own, no?
- I had to take a break from commissions, so here's the coloured version of those Celtic-Knot ermines, done in Photoshop. On to complete those last remaining requests...
- I hadn't done Celtic in a while, so I thought I'd attempt a Celtic Bird (heron, of sorts) on a feather. Complete with cheesy PS background. I dunno... maybe the bg is distracting.
- Common Loon with Chick. A somewhat older piece. This was done on 11 x 14 Bristol, done completely in stipple with a .05 Micron pen. I was just about cross-eyed by the time I finished it! :oP
- This is the kitty I use on my main page, which is perpetually under construction.
- Alaska's the order that never ends.... I've done piles of feathers. Here's a striped one, with a cougar lolling in the Spring sunshine.
- A re-scan of my midieval lion king, charging into battle. Again in two parts, but the break isn't nearly as harsh this time. If anyone would like this original acrylic & coloured pencil on Bristol, he's on FurBid. This Lion is © to me.
- Pen-and-ink, done in a "Doodle Art" style. This only took one long rainy day to complete.
- Photoshop graphic for the awards to go to all the kiddo's in our pack who made the trek up North for the campout and festival.
- Just a quick illustration for the photographs page of our Pack website.
- Simple inked illustration for a gardening magazine.
- "They can pierce our land, but they cannot pierce our heart!"... quoting Governor Gary Locke, this morning. It took me all afternoon to finish this donation feather. Please go find it on FurBid...look for "NY DISASTER". Every cent goes to Red Cross, and I pay the postage.
- Just a character doodle I did on Wacom today. Haven't done anthro in a long while, and this looks rather feeble. :::totters back to art table:::
- Graphic for our Council's Cub Day Camp, theme: "The Great Scout Detective"
- Here's the second of those feathers for the Tiger Touch Charity Auction at FurCon. This one is of Detonator, emerging from the jungle. Acrylics on peahen tailfeather.
- Yes, this is actually painted on a real feather. No birds were harmed, this is naturally molted by one of our pet peacocks, and is a little over 13 inches long. This scaley fellow will go up for auction at FurBid, once I figure out how! ;o) Scanner tweaked his colour; he's actually teal.
