Amara likes my work enough for it to be an influence on her? What a nice complement! Thank you, Amara! :) (Sorry, folks, had to edit GIF and resend. Misspelled Amara's RL name...)
With gratitude to all who worked to get Yerf going again. :)
By Jamie M's request, here's Janie Jalecki and the Patient Raccoon getting together to chat about... oh, whatever moms chat about when they get together. :) It struck me at this time that I have been remiss in my explanation of the Raccoon Family members names. Some have asked me, Does the Mom really call to her kids, "Observant, Active, come here."? Yes, she does. From where they're from (I'll tell that story one day) those are proper names. Mom's real name is Patient (not Patience) Raccoon.
This is a quick sketch I did of Johnny Blanco, from FM and FT.
Yes, I discovered how fluent Millie is in Japanese... and I have to admit that I've never heard anyone speak it like Millie does. *chuckle* Millie... you GO girl! :)
Roy Calbeck did a very clever pic for Amara's birthday that practically cried out for a response. Well... maybe not exactly cry out. Perhaps it merely said it out loud. Or mumbled it? Whispered under it's breath? Okay, the pic didn't actually *speak* out loud at all. But I thought it was great! And so... :)
The Observant Raccoon Kid is glad to meet Jill, of course... but she can't really go along with *that* method of generating gravity-defying headfur... sometimes it doesn't stop there. Jill © Jason Furness
Sometimes, on the weekend, Dad gets rather sedentary. It can be hard to get him to take the family to the park for some outdoor fun. It isn't that he doesn't want to... he just needs a jump-start, sometimes. Fortunately, the kids have the best 'Dad-jump-starter' in the world. Mom.
In this installment of Abacus' Ray Junco story, Gene gets the chance to talk to the lieutenant, who has just shot an innocent bystander in the pursuit of his partner's killer. Gene isn't sure what he can say to Ray, but he feels somefur should say something, so... Ray Junco is © Jason Williams
Gene tried to talk Lieutenant Junco out of his despondency. He appears to have failed miserably. Ray Junco © Jason Williams
King? No thanks, Thomas... :) I'd look strange with a crown. And President? You kidding? And spend the rest of my days avoiding grassy knolls? Naah... I'll stick with 'Friend'. It's what I want to be. :) Kevin is © Thomas K. Dye
Pen-based computers aren't used that widely, I guess... but for those who can't even get as far as Sully got with a *tablet*, they work very well, at least for me. :)
Part 1 of my KainCon-AAC chronicles. Strictly speaking, it really started with getting to see Trixi again with Kevin J. and Lindgold, who was visiting the Bay Area before attending the con himself. We got to install the new scanner that Tet got for her!
Umm... Timebase... there were furs at AAC that I *couldn't* see?? (gulp) I'm glad they were security furs...
Part 2 of my KainCon-AAC chronicles. At KainCon I got to meet, among many cool furs such as Bad Karma, Rian Real (thanks again for the cool Gene plushie!) Kendall, Fuzzybear and many others... there was Catnel and her whole family! Little Kassy really liked me! I liked her too... I only wish they could've stayed longer...
Part 3 of my KainCon-AAC chronicles. Tet, Lindgold, Kev and I had to make an art supply run while at KainCon... and wouldn't you know, we had a flat. Just as a summer rainstorm came up... :(
My KainCon-AAC info continues at AAC, now... with the meeting (finally!) of someone who's fascinated me with her art for quite a while now... Squee Rat! She had an 'ashcan' version of a comic story for everyone, plus some nice T-shirts, and... well, just a cool personality! Yay Squee!! :)
More AAC info as I make tribute to one of the true furry legends, the mighty Mitch Beiro!
More murine magnificence... this cat has no problem telling you that there are *cool* mice around here! :)
More of the truly cool furs I met at AAC for the first time... first, there was Digo Raccoon! And Coyote Nate... and Angel Bear... and Dandy... :)
More of what went on at AAC... :)
Still more of what went on at AAC... :)
Just a bit more of what went on at AAC... :)
Continuing my experiences at AAC, I meet one old friend and two new ones (iRL, I mean) :)
This little hand scanner works quite well! Here is the first of my KainCon pics, made on location this week. I am very, very grateful to Atma and his folks for allowing me to stay with them. :)
A bit more con coverage, drawn and uploaded onsite. CatsWhisker was unable to attend KainCon, but she made her influence felt nonetheless! <:)
A tiny bit more con occurences before I hit the sack to rest for the flight home! Last one to be sent from onsite, I guess, but more to come. :)
Back home now, but a few more con tidbits to go. All in all, AC99 was quite a nice con for me. :)
A bit more con goings-on. Almost done... <:)
My con report finale. Quite a week... :)
