Brenden Smith (Kangaroo-Boy) —2/2 >
- This is me. I'm a kangaroo. I like to draw but I never have enough time. This is the third time I've typed this bio because I keep hitting "clear" instead of "add file." >:| I like getting email about my artwork, or kangaroos. Other stuff too. I usually respond at least a line or two.
- I drew this for Abicus Jura (god I hope I spelled that right) He was keen enough to send me a neat welcome letter to the SCFA so I decided, since I did one for Gene, I'd do one for Abicus. I did some others too that'll show up someday I guess. Abicus Jura is © Jason Williams
- That would be from left to right, some of my better accquanteses on the internet. Abacus Jura, Me (I know I look kinda spacy, but who doesn't in this pic?) Lazarus Rat and The Coyote Kid. Now with the copyright mumbo jumbo. Abacus Jura © Jason Williams, Kangaroo-Boy © Bem, aka Me, Lazarus Rat © Kyle Wallape AND The Coyote Kid is © Cameron Floyd. All cool artist. Look at their art.
- Hah. Steve Boumar, in his first kinda unannounced appearance. The gun's not usually there, although it does appear quite often. Just write it off as a toy Star Wars Blaster. The human up in the corner is Evan. He'll show up someday.
- I should really have more to say about my pictures sometimes. This was drawn in pencil a few months back, then it went into drawing limbo half inked. I was looking for another picture today and found this fella in the process. So I finished it off and posted it here. If you enjoy it, lemme know.
- A newer and more updated pic of me, still not current as my hair is longer and a darkish shade of red/auburn but close enough. Plus I was sick of the bad one that was up earlier. Dig.
- So, uh... Well... I guess that's me. Normal daily attire or some such.
- I drew this for Gene Catlow, mostly because he's keen but also because he helped me figure out how to upload to the SCFA. I sent him the drawing before he helped but I guess it's payment in advance. Gene Catlow is © Albert Temple
- I drew this on a day where I was visiting a college. The bastards booted me. Know what a Denver Boot is? A big orange tire clamp that doesn't let your car go anywhere, and if you try, it'll trash your car. I prolly had the torque to smash it off but I wasn't going to become a felon. Came out nice though despite the crappy day and the lack of thirty bucks to get my truck back.
- This is one of many doodles that appear in my many notebooks. Boxing, kangaroos, get it? It's pretty straight forward. Kinda cheesy. But it is fun I guess. Love those yellow notepads.
- This is a good buddy Cameron Floyd. He's normally a Coyote but today I guess he's a kangaroo... Don't ask on the intricacies, it just is.
- Raccoon heads. Never done many raccoons.
- Just some drawings I did the other day that were deemed worthy of public viewing. No character involvement, no reasons. Just three 'roos in varying perspectives and clothings.
- These are kangaroo feet ala my style of drawing. Stormwolf wanted to see how they'd look and I was too lazy to actually draw a picture with a bare-footed 'roo. So this is what you get. :) Enjoy.
- Female-ish head-shot. Leather jacket, shirt like thing. This is the opposite of the femmeroo with the "Tooth and Nail Record's" shirt. As it started out as an entire drawing but was cut down to a head because the rest I didn't like. She seems a little bit shorter muzzled for one of my roos though.
- And, this is why I haven't uploaded much lately. Me old halogen is kinda burnt down to a meagre fizzle. Which should be burning at both ends but I kinda forgot about that when I drew the pic.
- Those are firepants she's a wearin. Don't ask why, I just did it. I guess I could have some crazy half-baked idea behind it but why bother. It's a fun drawing and a kinda cool idea. She wound up looking kinda cross eyed in the final inking though. I'm bummed about that.
- She looks pissed. Bout what I dunno. Prolly cause I wrecked my truck. :( Started out as a head-shot, so I had another doodle down at the bottom. Hence the BIG black shape.
- What would happen if Spaceroo and I wound up designing an automobile. Since you probably can't read my handwriting: The 1998 Ford Galaxy, redesigned with the kangaroo in mind. The Galaxy, (500 model shown), has all the go fast goodies outlawed on most production vehicles but deemed nesicarry by the Macropodian Transportation Board. And a buncha other stuff. I'd drive it.
- Just so you know, I hate "goths" about as much as I think "Curephiles" are silly. But this little foxy, which looks more like a wolfish 'roo so I'm told, fit the style that says "Cure." Don't expect to see anymore of this stuff. Foxes yes, but curephiles, HELL no.
- Ahm... I'm not TOTALLY sure what this picture is but I THINK it's the "I'm gregarious" picture. I'm in the dark just cause I'm pretty good at naming my files with some STUPID filenames that could mean any number of things. If you don't know what "gregarious" means, look it up. It's a lie too you know. I'm not.
- This is a result of my tendancy to fall in love with cute female vocalists. This is what Juliana Hatfield (from the photo in the CD booklet of "From the Inside") would look like if she were a kangaroo. Personally I like her even better this way. Juliana Hatfield © her Mum and Dad, respectively. :)
- This is an attempt to emulate the style of Scott Diamond. A truly cool 'roo artist. Gotta give him credit, he deserves it. :) It's kinda modernized, for your own protection... Ahem. The lines say, "mabye they wouldn't recognize me, if I wore the sneakers."
- North! To Seattle... Or the underground clubs of New York, depending I guess on what coast you live on. For me it's north to Wyoming. I don't think there's any such independant music scene in Cheyenne. This is a femmeroo that just needed to be drawn, it's like the begining of a road trip epic. © Me! Brenden Smith 1997
- Just some line art, playing wth inking and open mouthes and stuff.
- Acru Fox and me, Bem. Was going to be a meeting type pic but by the time I got around to doing it we already knew each other pretty good. So, well. I did this instead. Acru is © Marc Sutton and Bem is © Bem.
- Just an un-named roo-femme. Looks a bit like Zooey but the hair's wrong and she looks too bright eyed for ole Zoe. Shirt's the same.
- This one is very popular on my website, which is funny because I botched the file name and you have to do some creative hacking to find it. Doesn't stop people from looking though. I like it, esp the paramilitary feel to it.
- What's a natch? Some kinda new slang? I dunno... Started out as a 'roo but I got sidetracked and made it a dog-ish kinda thing... Just sort of silly.
- S'a picture. So I'm not talkative today, it's late and I'm out of Pepsi again. Inked with a tech-pen incase you've been following my adventures in inking.
