"Fireworks & Flowers" Taetha sits on the front porch with a bouquet of flowers to await the Fourth of July parade.
An angel kitty sitting there in awe. My husband really likes this one.
A lineart picture of Candy Palmer's Arwin that I'm currently coloring. The color version would be done by now except that I messed up on the color if Arwin's fur <sigh> Oopsie. Stay tuned....
An old, old picture from 1998 that I never got around to finishing (you can probably tell which parts of the picture are still in pencil), but I've always liked too much to throw away. I know the border looks pretty funky; this whole picture was an experiment.
An old picture of a bunny-fly from 1998 I still like. This was originally part of a larger image but the rest had too many problems with it to be salvaged.
Some sketches of the Anai, a race of people living in the Amber Squire's region, Blauwald. Briefly colored just for the kick of it. I also have a general sketch sheet of the various other weird creatures to be found in the Blauwald, but seeing as I won't have any time to finish it soon....
I've been wanting to do a picture of PI Blueangel since she joined Yerf, and I finally sat down and did one. I just hope she doesn't kill me for drawing her as a ballerina, but I couldn't decide what she should wear, and the pose suggested her dancing. I personally think it's very pretty. ^.^;;
Portrait of Boingdragon. I did a picture of Boingdragon several years ago which I decided to replace with this one.
A quick picture I drew, inked, and colored in about an hour (hey, for me that is pretty quick!) It started as a concept drawing for Corelle's ballgown (which explains the pointless pose) for a small story illo. I picked a different dress design for the final picture, but this one is still pretty.
"How Dragons Play Chess" This one is my husband's fault. I wanted to have them using regular chess pieces. I sold the original, but I'm really tempted to try prints someday. Who knows...
A scene from the Nutcracker. This was to be our Christmas card design for this year, although we never got around to printing copies for the cards.
"Winds of Time" The clock face is really just a fancy window design, in case anyone was wondering why the clock hands were missing.
A psuedo-comic from a story I'm working on (I must be crazy; I don't have time to do artwork, much less be writing) about the Rouge Squire's past. Hopefully, it will even make some sense out of the context of the document.
"I will hold on to the cross/and when this world pulls against me/He will be the strength I need/I will hold on to the cross..." Lyrics by Newsong. I'd color this one if it weren't for the cross-hatching.
"Die, art supplies, die!!!" Something I've had the urge to do for a while to the many different art supplies I've been trying to learn in art class. I feel better now, honest...
Ah, one of those old pictures I should have finished a long time ago. This one is a sketch from my book I wanted to give a very stylized color treatment, like one of those fancy oriental murals. Some times the safest place is right near your predator's mouth. ^.^
I'm proud of the grayscale pencil work on this one but just wish I could have drawn her arms better. Flame is the intellectual property of Emily Stoll, who does fox faces pretty nicely; she's hard to imitate.
A sketch I did as a surprise gift for my husband. Awww...mush...
"Anti-Gravity" An old picture from the spring of 1999 that I finally rescued from my art folder and colored.
Thinking about Toshi and Chibi's involvement in the Time Wrinkle story, I decided to add a picture of Gwendel in her time police uniform from Toshi's universe. I seriously doubt she'll ever appear in the story though.
More color practice. I saw a sketch of the original design for Belle's balldress design from Beauty & the Beast, and I thought it was gorgeous (better than the dress in the movie). I wanted to see how Gwendel would look in a "final animation" version of the dress.
Late 20's/early 30's cartoon style Gwendel.
I'm thinking of framing this one. The cloudy night sky pattern on the kimono was the result of watching the intro to Peter Pan while I was finishing the sketch.
Another old picture I was going to put on my webpage, but instead sat around waiting to be colored. It came out so nice I wish now I had finished it a long time ago.
Here comes trouble in a school uniform....
An old image I recently pulled out of the dust pile and made part of new homepage title logo.
Part of my Valentine's gift to my husband. All mushy and stuff, but I'm sharing it anyway...
Chandra Odom's char, Isis, only more in my style, and in a different outfit. She's being illuminated by some Egyptian moon symbol.
"Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world" - John the Baptist A day late for Christmas, but oh well... Happy Holidays!
Elohwisse lighting candles for her nightly devotion. Just a pencil sketch I want to eventually color. I'll come up with a title for it later.
