- Taan, looking a tad on the sleepy side. Drew this one during art this morning. (Wow. Drawing during art class. What a concept.) Ty copyright me!
- It was early in the morning. I was sleeping in our library with my new GSD, Indy. (Or "Indiana Gym," depending on who you ask..) I couldn't help myself -- I *had* to draw this. ;) ..although, considering Indy is a *German* shepherd, drawing him as Indiana Jones is somewhat ironic.. hehe... Here it is in Prismacolor pencils and elbow grease (eww).
- Ahh, the good ol' days of the Middle Ages, when being skinny indicated poverty and malnourishment, instead of a desire to fit the current media definition of "pretty". Scruffy little Jessi here kinda resembles Taan -- except she's younger, she's unattractively thin, and she's all angles instead of curves. Not to mention that surly look of hers. A real charmer, ain't she?
- "Jessi" rhymes with "messy."
- Anise turns seventeen. Anise goes to London. Anise meets Basil. Or something. :) Happy seventeenth, Anise!
- Jessica attempts to draw little kits, for a change. :) The pose is weird, but it came from an old Easter photo of a couple of my cousins. Eh. Y'know, I have no idea who got Amini into a *dress*, but that's pretty admirable...
- Kyn goes earth-girl! >:) I love her artwork to bits, and I'm way envious of how she draws clothes.. wow! So, I was doodling really early this morning, as I mentioned, and here's Ms. Dewphire herself, all decked out in a gauzy sorta shirt with flowers in her hair. :) I dunno if I got the coloring right, though, since we've been having thunderstorms lately and I had to shut the computer off for most of today. :\ Oops.
- While anxiously awaiting the release of "Simba's Pride," I drew a quick concept sketch of Leah, a character on lionking.org's Rumor Mill. Considering I haven't drawn TLK characters in.. ohh.. four years or so... I don't think it's bad at all. :) Drew this on 10-1-98, BTW.
- Here's a sketch I did last night at around eleven; I wound up colouring it, but I liked how the ruf sketch looked (tho' coloured pics are prettier, I'm a big fan of loose, ruf sketches), so here it is. :) Emmy © Emily Smith. (And yes, she's supposed to be holding a Polaroid photo.)
- Here's the coloured version. Anyone listen to Linda Ronstadt? The song in the background, "Long, Long Time," was originally sung by Linda Ronstadt in 1970; I've been listening to it on my Mindy McCready CD lately, though. (Yes, I listen to country, and no, I don't date my cousins.) Anyway, Emmy © Emily Smith, and song lyrics © Gary White (I think).
- Here's the little banner-thingy I whipped up using "b-ty.gif". Not much, but hey. :) Taan © me.
- Sarah Park! Oo, a wolfie. I don't draw wuffs very often, do I? Well, here's an attempt at my markers -- anyone out there have any tips for colouring with markers? Oh, and THANKS to everyone who drew me a birthday piccie! I luv 'em all. :D You're guys're the best. *hugs* Sarah Park (Nice last name, eh?) copyrighted to her player.
- I swear on my Trias, this is the one and only "Titanic" pic that will ever appear on my archive! ;) 'Twas a request from Ms. Alison the Ferret -- Taan and Kit as Rose and Jack. Poor Ty: not only is she in a fancy dress in this pic, but--"CURLS?! You gave me CURLS?! Jessica, I'm gonna--" Ty, hush. ..Ahem. Sorry. :)
- Redwall MUCK's Silvamord, crouching on a wall and wearing -- yet another! -- black dress. :)
- Oo, Jessica draws more tods. Yay. :) This is Blonde Tod #1 (..or #2, depending on who you're talking to... >g<..), Skylar of Selwyn. ...On an unrelated note, does anyone else think Natalie Imbruglia is neet-o? "Left of the Middle" is a great CD to listen to while drawing. :)
- I did a sketch of RW MUCK's Solette this afternoon and since it didn't turn out *completely* atrocious, I coloured it. ;) I like the way it turned out, actually. Wow, that's rare. :) And, folks, I'm not taking commissions right now.. I'm still recovering from school (yuk) and my sketches are purely muse-motivated. I'll get back to taking commissions eventually... like, once I graduate from college. >:)
- Redwall MUCK is down.. twitch, twitch... so, Swen, if I didn't get the coloration and stuff right on this pic, uh, blame Otterspace. ;)
- Because the sketch sucked. I like this one better; maybe one day I'll color it. Emphasis on "maybe." :) I still want that shirt. And that lighter.
- All chatting and no RP makes Jessica a bored girl. This is as background-y as I get. :)
- Yes, Del, this *is* a sign of the end of the world. ;) Run for your bomb shelters, everyone; Taan's uploaded. Now, to retreat into solitude for another month and a half... >g<
- Kit Starfetch of Redwall MUCK. If this pic looks like something's missing, there is.. like, a background. I was planning on putting a background in, but I'm just far too lazy. ;) Weird pose, too -- my sincere apologies to Duke. >:) Kit © Emily Smith.
- Pretty basic Kit sketch. White-Out and Trias make for an aromatic combination. >:) Kit copyright Emily Smith.
- Really quick sketch of Kit that I did last night (or was that early this morning?) while watching old X-Files tapes. How I long for the first season... sigh... sniffle..
- Colored version of that sketch I did the other night. Inspiration for the coloring of this piece: Sitting down on the night of the twelfth to watch an old tape of "Lethal Weapon," only to find out my dad had taped over all but the last seven minutes of it with *golf*. Yuck.
- Oo, sketchy. (My descs are so lengthy at 8:20 AM, aren't they?)
- And here's another concept pic of Jessi--no. Wait. Nevermind.
- Amini comforting Kryz. Did this on 10-24-97 and I still dunno why I drew it. Mainly just so I could get back to colouring with my coloured pencils, I guess. Oh well -- is kyOOt, no? Kryz © Emily Smith, Amini © Jessica Park.
- The result of watching the supplemental materials on my "Lion King" laserdisc set with my ferret Murphy flopped at my feet. Curse those TLK model sheets that make me want to draw again. Also partially to blame for my peek back into the furry world: a certain spottybutt. =)
- Drew a "Taanastasia" pic that doesn't have Ty in it. :) Nisyha, everyone's favourite albino vixen, made a cameo in "Anastasia" -- as a male albino bat. >:) Bwahaha... ahem. Anyways, here's Naytok, the batty representation of Nisyha. (Or something.) She doesn't look super, but I've never drawn a bat before (at least I don't think I have), and I spent, like, fifteen minutes on the thing from start to finish. It ain't my magnum opus, let's put it that way. ;) (Actually, my magnum opus is that pic of Tea Baloney I did with Nish. Giggle!) Anyhoosies, Naytok © Emily Smith, "Anastasia" © Fox.
- I decided I'd update Jessi, Personal Furry; goodness knows the furry fandom in general (and Yerf in particular) doesn't need any more foxy ladies. And I certainly don't need two of 'em: Taan's enough for me. So Jessi is now a black-nosed ecru sable ferret.. after all, ferrets *were* my first love, and they're more fitting for me, anyway. I ain't no vixen. >g< In addition to a species change, Jessi also gets a haircut, since I just had me lovely locks shorn off into a shaggy bob. I thought I'd share. :)
