- Just some character on top of a mountain somewhere. I'm not sure what she is, maybe some type of weasel. 14X17 colored picel - with a little help from bryce for the extreme background.
- My Hill! It looks kind of violent, but it's supposed to be more funny, if only because its so ridiculous looking. 11"x14 acrylic & colored pencil. In fact, this was a bit of an experiment in than it's a true mixed media picture. I used a heavy paper so I could paint and color on one sheet (Unlike depforst.jpg which the painted portion was done on canvas).
- This is what happens when you watch way too much Neon Genesis Evangelion
- I suppose I have a soft spot in my heart for lunatic vampire hunting catholic priests, so I just had to draw Alexander Anderson. Here he is as some sort of crazed jackal getting off to an early start looking for the undead. 8"x11" colored pencil and a little marker.
- I added a background. Heh, looks like his wife isn't too happy about him tearing up the yard and riding around on his new contraption. 9 x 10 colored pencil
- Always make sure you leave orbit with a full tank of gas. These two astronauts, which look like misshapen Michelin men [say that 3 times fast :P], have crash-landed on some alien planet. At least the natives are friendly. 10x13 colored pencil.
- Raina and Zak. This doesn't really have anything to do with the other picture, but they were thematically related, so I thought I'd upload them together. 12x10 colored pencil
- I finally got a new scanner. It seems to pick up lighter colors better, but I still have to give credit to my old scanner for surviving 6 years of heavy use. Anyway, here are some prospectors or something. 11x14 colored pencil & some marker
- I forget who said that, but I'm sure they are good words to live by. Computer art superimposed over oil painting.
- Unfortunately, I don't nearly have enough time to color with colored pencils anymore, so I had to do this one with a paintshop pro. Man, I know there are a lot of there people in collage who upload frequently, how do you find the time? I couldn't decide between this sy and a blue one, hope I made the right choice.
- A collection of scenes and characters from a story I wrote. I'm not sure why it scanned so dark. done in colored pencil 14x24.
- It's been about half a year since I last played Quake, but with Scotts new Skin, and my updated driver[mmm... hi res, hi color graphics], I couldn't resist. Of course, if this were an acurate dipiction of my skills, I wouldn't have dodged that blast. [yeah, she's supposed to be jumping out of the way, sort of, but I didn't want to cover the foreground with a corkscrew trail. 11x14 colored pencil.
- a piture, drawn and colored w/computer in about 15 - 30 minutes representing my inability to think of something to draw this week.
- White Water rafting is a lot of fun! However, this stream doesn't seem too bad, but maybe this guy sees a water fall up ahead. Colored in Paintshop pro; background created with the ultra-cheap Bryce [ it's almost too easy].
- A picture of a fox walking in front of a city.
- A fox with an RPG.
- Sort of two-part series though not directly related to one another. Raina is apparently not terrible creative with her wardrobe. 11x 7 Colored pencil.
- Added in a quick background with acrylic. A picture for a friend of mine. Zak(character by Joshua cutlip) proposes to Raina. BG in acrylic, figures drawn with colored pencil 14x11.
- My half of the art trade with Erin V. This is probably one of the most off the wall renditions of Raz yet, but its all in good fun. She's actually a deceptively hard character to draw, though I did have a more on model sketch to begin with, but after Chad mentioned the blarg, I just had to do a new idea. Thus, here we have Raz adding her own dream time art to the side of a rock, somewhere in the northern territory. I have no idea about what the original joke was about the blarg, but I still get a laugh out of the blarg pole pic. 12x11 colored pencil.
- This isn't exactly a picture I am proud of, yet it was an image - werewolves who weren't vicious or noble- in my mind that had to be put on paper and in turn subjected to others. Colored pencil and marker.
- inspired by a recent flood of great computer colored art work from William R. I decided to use my own [ al beit inferior] software to color my latest drawing instead of using colored pencil. Hopefully, jpeg compression didn't mess it up too much.
- colored pencil. Background done in PSP. I think I'm going to do a better verson sometime. I don't like using the computer to do more than touch up pitures.
- Well, since its ok to upload... This was my [colorised] entry for the yerf portfolio and thus a somewhat older picture. 11x14 [I think]
- I went to Rome a few weeks ago and felt inspired. I took considerable liberties with the city itself, of course, as the real Rome, with the exception of the forum area, looks a bit different. There is a slight joke with the choice of canine, but its pretty lame. 11x14 colored pencils. I'm still in France using that bad scanner, so the colors/contrast might be a bit weird - it's hard to tell on this computer.
- A painting loosely based on the Yellow River near my house. I did a few changes since the binaries post, but the contrast couldn't be helped save for a whole redo. Its amazing that places like this still exist in a city of 4 million. I've even heard on the news that there are still coyotes about [though usually as road kill] so I couldn't resist and had to add one in. 16"x20" acrylic and colored pencils.
- Heh, this guy looks like he's a bit out of place. This sort of goes along with a story idea I've been thinking of, so alone it probably doesn't make much sense, but maybe I can put some of my ideas down in picture form if I ever find the time. 11x14 colored pencil. Sorry for reuploading, but The first version scanned a bit dark
- This is kind of an autobiographical picture :P We've had a drought for the past few years, so all the local rivers are flowing at near record lows. But of course this didn't stop me since I only need 6 inches to float in. Too bad I only had 4. Using my hands to support some of my weight so I could float higher, I hand walked into deeper water. I imagine I looked like some big dumb gorilla stuck in the sand. Pencil sketch colored in Painter Classic with big loaded oils.
- Its starting to look like spring now, so I figured I'd do a spring type picture :) 16"x20" acrylic on canvas
- Confederate daisies in bloom on the slopes of Stone Mountain. This picture took a long time to complete, though there are a few technical oddities [ for example: if they were going up on the correct side of the mountain, then based on the slope, Atlanta should be in front of them, not behind them, plus there are not actually any fir trees on the mountain, just gnarled old pines]. 11x 14 colored pencil.
- Here's a fox sitting on a rock by an ocean.
