This is a drawing of Quickpaw, the chakat cub (feline centaur) playing squash.
Where else would you find an otter but at the bathing facilities. However, for furries, they can be most unusual.
Quinn and Shanda. Characters copyright Mike Curtis.
This is Qurisami, an Itiriqu, carrying a mystic staff. Her species is derived from the African Linsang. Character © David Green. Art © 1998 Bernard Doove.
A cute raccoon girl cub.
"Ram-Bo" A play on words. Don't mess with this sheep!
"Ranger Chakat". Another early chakat design. Originally shaded with home-made shade sheets, I decided to colour it later. Unfortunately the dot shading made a funny pattern effect when scanned.
This picture was done by request of a friend who wanted me to draw a rat-taur. I had his own alter-ego find a transmogrifier and let his curiosity do the rest. Ooops! I don't think he's sure how to take his change in status.
Chakat Forestwalker goes to the rescue of an injured hiker. This is an illustration for my story, "A Forest Tale, #1". Chakats are © 1998 Bernard Doove. Re-uploaded to fix a problem.
Commissioned picture of Rhydia, a snow leopard/panther cross.
"Angry Rrakith" The Rrakith are an alien felinoid species that get a shock when they first encounter humans. The Rrakith are the co-creation of Will Sanborn and Bernard Doove. Stories and more art at http://www.shore.net/~was1
Sabrina, the skunk sorceress supreme.
Sabrina 2 "Symbols"
Cover illustration for issue ten of South Fur Lands magazine. Kylie and a chakat friend celebrate 10 issues of friendship in Australia & New Zealand furry fandom. Great art and stories from south of the equator! I also get to celebrate another milestone with this picture: This is my 100th upload to the SCFA! Of course I'm way behind some of you guys but I think it's pretty cool anyway.
Cover art for issue 16 of South Fur Lands. Done to celebrate the conclusion of the series, Three Apples, by Artie Roo. The characters are all from the story and drawn in Artie's style, but it was all my own work. It wasn't easy emulating his style, but even he was pleased with the result. Art © Bernard Doove. Characters © Miguel Estrugo.
Rascal features on the cover of "South Fur Lands" issue 2. This is the Australasian furry magazine featuring many great pictures and stories.
Cover illustration for South Fur Lands #6, a fanzine featuring Australian and New Zealand creators.
Chakat Sherlock reaches desperately and futilely for help as shi is being inexorably sucked out of a blown portal in a space station. This was drawn as an illustration for John Plunkett's story: Star Dancer. Unfortunately, I forgot that shi was supposed to be a rather brawny character, and consequently shi's much too lean.
"Shutting Up Dantaur" On a recent visit to a foxtaur friend of mine, he was told to "put a sock in it" when he was yipping too much. This was the image that came to my mind at that moment and I quickly sketched it. Dantaur © His Player, Art © 1998 B.Doove
"Sissy" My slightly cross-eyed but sexy mouse miss. An older toony style that I've since given up.
This is my first quickie attempt at using a digital drawing tablet. Not too bad considering I've never drawn this way before. Thanks to Chris Cogden for giving me the opportunity. Only thing wrong now is I want to get one and I can't afford it!!!
This is Marie, a skunkette who saw how Haal had been transformed into a taur by my transmogrifier. She thought that this was a cool idea, so she decided to try it for herself. I think that she is rather pleased with the result.
Just a generic skunktaur, partially inspired by the characters created by Bob Reijns. This picture is actually a two-artist effort. Killjoy did a sketch of the lower torso but wasn't willing to try putting a head on it. I saw the potential for a nice skunktaur in it though, so eventually I got around to doing that and finishing the sketched portion properly. Art is © 1999 Killjoy and Chakat Goldfur (me!)
This handsome fellow is the son of a skunk mother and wolf father.
A black-footed ferret-taur, done just for fun. Come play a game of Slinkyball!
Rrakith cubs on Earth are discovering snow for the first time. But that's no way to build a snowman. Illustrates Will Sanborn's short story.
A school martial arts match between a rrakith and a human. This is an illustration for the story "Trying To Fit In" by Will Sanborn. Characters are copyright 1997 Bernard Doove & Will Sanborn.
"Splashdown Imminent." Chakat Forestwalker discovers too late that the forest trail, which shi is following, leads to a river bank. An illustration for my story, A Forest Tale #5: Recreation.
This island dwelling squirrel is coming to join a beach party in progress. Drawn for Spontoon Island a few months ago.
Hair in her face and stars in her eyes.
