- A portrait of Goldfur, a chakat (feline 'taur) holding a staff.
- This picture is to commemorate the historic first meeting between a certain lop-eared lass and myself. Trixi and Goldfur bumped into each other recently and a picture was promised. Well, slow as I am, it's finally done! Trixi is © Candy Lewin. Goldfur is © me!
- "Gotcha now!" This foxy private eye has lured his target out into the open.
- Milk does a body good, especially if you are a Chakat! A quick drawing that I did while travelling around the U.S. before having to go home to Australia.
- Grasslands, a white Siberian Tiger, on the grasslands after which he was named. Cover illustration for the collected stories by Matt McCullar. Character ©; 1997 Matt McCullar.
- This is an illustration for the story, "Greytiger Saves Christmas" by Will Sanborn. It was a story he wrote as a Christmas present for me and features a cute little Chakat cub who helps a certain jolly gentleman with a problem. The story was published in "South Fur Lands" issue 11.
- Three haiku poems which I illustrated with a furry slant.
- "Halt! Police officer!" This piece was done for the CF7 souvenir book.
- Harvey and Moonstone. Harvey is a Husky and a fire elemental. Moonstone is a White Wolf and an air elemental. Picture commissioned by Kara Kret. Characters are © 1998 K.Kret.
- Commissioned illo of a pair of cheetahs with, shall we say, extra attributes.
- A heroic Chakat strides out of the mist, battlestaff at the ready. This picture is actually a multi-artist effort. The initial pencil sketch came from the Carspeckens who tried their hand at a Chakat. It ended up looking much like a fox, but the pose was good. So I tweaked the image until it looked right, inked and coloured it in Photoshop. They were pleased with it, and I hope you are too. Chakat © 2000 Bernard Doove.
- Commissioned drawing of a six-legged taur tigress. Character copyright David Green.
- "Hoofing It". A digitigrade hoofed fem that I did just because I don't see many done that way.
- "Horsey Ride." A chakat gives a horsey ride to a little vixen cub. This is an illustration for a story written by Will Sanborn called Turning Point.
- My New Zealand friend, MayFurr, was visiting my den. The curious fox had to stick his nose into everything, including my Taur Transmogrifier. Funny thing is, he never noticed the difference at first! A sketch done for Terry Knight. In my rush, I forgot to finish the dark shading on his paws. I'll have to correct that next time I see him. MayTaur... er.. MayFurr © 1998 T.Knight, Art © B.Doove
- Two happy bear fems who are parents-to-be, checking the progress of the cubs.
- Harvey and Moonstone, a husky and wolf couple. Characters ©; their players.
- "The Man With The Golden Fur". Espionage has its ups and downs.
- First illustrated page of my booklet, "An Introduction To Chakats".
- Second illustrated page of my booklet, "An Introduction To Chakats".
- Third illustrated page of my booklet, "An Introduction To Chakats". This chakat image was expanded and coloured. See "look-to.gif".
- Chakat Goldfur introduces hir shy new mate, Garrek Redfox. This is an illustration for one of my Forest Tales stories. I was trying to draw in another style and the faces came out differently from the way I normally draw them, but I liked them so much that I decided to keep them that way.
- Once again, a picture of Chakat Bluestripe, but back a few years when shi was a teenager working on the farm. Then shi was known as Artemis, and shi hadn't dyed hir fur, so its natural white with black patches can now be seen. No wonder shi doesn't like cow jokes! The scene is near the end of a long hot day in the fields, and shi's looking forward to quitting and cleaning up. The farm is on a colony world, so the sky looks a bit different to those of Earth. I put a lot of effort into doing a very atmospheric scene and I'm very proud of the result.
- Illustration for Will Sanborn's story: "Joining The Chorus". A shy young Rrakith is encouraged to express herself with the group.
- "Jagafeh Ripclaw". My interpretation of the alter-ego of my friend Jason Gaffney.
- Chakats can frequently be viewed jumping to amazing lengths while exercising. A theriopangram created by Fred Patten and recently published in Furrlough. I'm very proud of this piece. No references were used to get that body form right. Only that upraised arm is a bit off. And of course the fence looks weird. I never could draw inanimate objects well.
- A chakat cub impatiently waits for the time shi can open hir Christmas presents. This is my Christmas card for 1998 and, due to my friend's printer running out of ink, the hard copies will be arriving late at my other friends' homes. However, I can wish all my fellow artists on Yerf all the best for the Season and a happy New Year!
- "View From A Kassar Shop". The kassar shops are the popular meeting places for both young and old Rrakith. The scenery behind them shows a typical Rramatharran city which resembles a Terran industrial park.
- A cute taur kitten playing with a huge ball of yarn. Sketchbook drawing that I did for a friend at the Mephis Fur Meet.
- This skunk femme is dressed for a formal evening.
