While most abominations (failed Golems that have still managed to obtain life) are independent organisms, many were so mangled during their creation that they've become parasitic creatures. Humans, as in this unlucky soul, are their favorite targets. The victim is usually rendered unrecognizeable, but retains control of his/her body and mind.

A spread from my sketchbook. Pfess, the cobbled-together artist/medic Golem. His head, neck, and left arm/hand are made from gristle and instestine. His body and right hand/arm are made from scrap mechanics--mostly titanium and fine servos (bit of a Doc Ock vibe), with some steel here and there. His feet are a heavy-duty ceramic...and his mane-tail and tongue are composed solely of large nerves.
