Another pastel piece, this one a more realistic bobcat. These were both done today when the power went out and so I had nothing better to do than draw whatever I liked.

I live! I've been so busy I haven't been online a lot (I'm working on a How-to-Draw Wildlife art book, which will be published next year- major yaaaay!) I'm very happy, very busy, and won't be online a whole lot for awhile, but here's a little something... I did this pastel piece to celebrate the fact that my "Out of Oakwood Forest" characters are 20 years old this year (they were first published in a tiny local paper 20 years ago...) Man, I'm old.

Commission for Jim Steinberg of his very colorful avatar, Yao Chi! I'm kindof frustrated that the yellow in the clouds turned out that, well, yellow in the scan. In the original, the yellow's much more subtle.
