- First of ten images for my new project: a print portfolio entitled 'XenoCetacea' which I hope to have done in time for AC '03. :)
- More Yipper Coyote....
- Hi all- just posting a sketch to let you know I'm still around... just busy lately. Here's Yipper Coyote, lookly confused, as usual... and apparently weightless, too, which might be why he's confused!
- "Dreaming of Mice and Men"...A she-werecat morphing. Pic made on scratchboard with a silver backing.
- This cute little guy is part fairy, part unicorn, and part dragon, thus his name: "Fayunidrac". :) Done in pencil and ink.
- A cross between an Oriental and European dragon. Done in pencil and ball point pens.
- Art trade with the awesome Karena Kliefoth, of her lovely anthro saluki char, 'Gaelif'. (I just LOVE salukis!) Done in ink, with an "old photo" filter applied.
- A stone lion's head. Done in gouache and shaded with colored pencils.
- "Robby Raccoon" - Dedicated to a raccoon who lost his tail not too long ago.
- "Tweezer" - a mentally disordered weasel.
- I haven't drawn this pair since my style shifted two years ago, so it was well past due. Castor and Pollux revamped, carrying one of their cubs across a Grecian terra-cotta background. Based on a photo of Elsa the Lioness.
- Fear the octopine with the scaled-down escrima sticks! Drop shadows are not my friend.
- A sketch of my multihybrid, Yellow Peter (human, leopard, jackrabbit and gazelle), who I just can't stop drawing like a Final Fantasy character - he's just too cute this way! My inked and finished drawings tend to lose a little vitality in the cleanup process, so I left this one as a sketch. 3H and HB pencils.
- GLEE! Another self-portrait, capturing the bouncy happy dance instead of the usual slinky menace. This was originally done as a userpic for Livejournal, but stands up at larger sizes, too.
- This was an exercise in playing about with simple geometric shapes, flat areas of color, sharp contrasts and the application of a more detailed texture. Acrylic on board.
- This was meant to be a contrast or commentary on the 'sons' of Feudal era Samurai, what actually resulted from their efforts and violence. Acrylic on board.
- A self portrait done in Adobe Illustrator.
- I wanted to try something sulaco style. :I I suck at clouds ^_^
- It's a birdy. He likes you.
- It took some time, but Ronald eventually realized that he wasn't like the other teddy bears...
- Poor Ly. She bears the brunt of my artistic brainfarts with quiet dignity and grace. PFFTTh. Yeah, right!
- Commission of Natetia the dragon. Natetia is (C) Matthew Carpenter.
