- The badger is the king of the woodlands
- a more realistic rendition of my favourite dog Scruffy.
- done for a trade with Lyosha...i think he's kind of cute!
- Spades as a snakey critter.
- meme! Spades meets up with uhh...psuedorealistic Were Spades. And questions her lack of pants. ...
- this one is for you, Gryllus
- an older limbo character named Colt. I tried to challenge myself by drawing his black body without any black colored pencils (I used various shades of blue, green, and brown for those interested). The pose took a few days to decide on.
- Just Lizardbeth reading a comic book.
- If you can guess what state the reference photo for the background is from, you get a cookie.... or 2 if you can guess exactly where.
- Fun with contrasting colors! For those who don't know Japanese, the text at the bottom (gold pen, which my scanner had SO much fun eatting) translates to "Mr. Shiba's new fish"
- 'Fox Knight'. Digital realism piece for CF'03. I plan on making only ONE large print of this (either 11x14, or 15x20) wich will be for sale in the CF Artshow, not to mention numorous 8.5x11 prints wich will be for sale at my CF dealer's table. If you want to see a detail of this image, check it out here: http://www.starfinder.biz/foxzoom.jpg
- Loooong overdue. Is MelSkunk! Special thanks to Lyosha for showing me how to shade it properly and pointing out mistakes.:P
- The Dragonfly Queen - an attempt to draw a dragonfly anthro. The wings don't really seem to be attached to her, not at the right angle, and also way off from being symmetrical. I like how the colors turned out, thats the only good thing.
- A picture for a friend. :)
- I am a mindless sheep and had to follow the trend! Dah!
- Entitled "Otherkin Spring", a birthday pic for my soulsis, fellow celtic nut and a fabulous artist, GrayWolf. :) Done in colored pencils and ink.
- This was a birthday pic for my soulsis, Illucian, the irridescent angel dragon, who is desperately missing her gryphon mate, Eclipse, while he is out to sea. I wanted to remind her that even though Eclipse is not there with her physically, he's still there in spirit, and his love continues to shine down on her to warm her heart and soul. (Done in colored pencils and ink; the scanner ate all the pretty colors and I can't do backgrounds worth beans.)
- Commission for a furiend of mine...a Loxyote: part human, part lion, part coyote, part fox (the mane has stripes, but there are no skunk genes). He is a genetically engineered mutant; the perfect bounty hunter. His eyes lack pupils, and they glow yellow-green. Done in colored pencils and ink.
- HollyAnn, the colorful anthro vixen whom I decided on a whim to draw as a foxtaur. :) Done in colored pencils and ink.
- Valentine's Day pic for my handsome mate, Sayh, an anthro osprey. (I'm normally in non-anthro form, but sometimes I'm anthro just for him.) :) Done in colored pencils and ink.
- Well, damn. I mean, rats.
- Marker-colored pic of Justino Boto, an Amazon River Dolphin morph from yet another IRC game I frecuent. Slight PS tweak to turn the grey skin to that of a 'pink' dolphin. Yes, I realize I suck at beefcake. Re-upload because the nipple ring didn't scan right, and the character looks androgyneous enough without people thinking its a female nude (for the record, its a he) :P
- Once upon a time, Ricochet was SUPPOSED to have been a honest-to-god 'creepy' gryphonic creature that was half raven/ half rat. And somewhere around the way ge got a dog collar, fruity bat wings and became...Ricochet. Here's a pic showing me submitting to yet another dumb fa--erm, I mean me trying to see what would Rico be like if he were to look like he was supposed to!
- First attempt with new tablet. Blackfoot, my character in the Vagrant online RPG. He's going native.
- When extinction looms, flightless birds fight back. I love kakapos. I love mustelids too, but on New Zealand, they're bad news!
- Anatomical and marking sketch for a gryphon idea I had in my head for years. Lyosha inspired me to draw it out. Harpy eagle-jaguar gryphs (obviously spotting a macaw-howler monkey gryph!)
- Oh my! It's a trend. Real skunks are both horrifingly fat and scary when wearing badly fitting teeshirts. Not to mention that no one likes Bugmart! Mel is dutifuly terrified.
- This is for my Dad, for teaching me all I know about cars. Thanks Dad. :)
- Trade with the ubercool Anna P.! The world needs more cartoon invertebrates.
- Following Amara and Lyosha.. Toon Gryllus meets Realistic Gryllus. Hijinks will, at some point, ensue.
- Felorin's dragon, done for www.Furcadia.com's front page, also supposedly being published in the next issue of MOG (massive online gamer's) magazine [www.mogonline.com], and perhaps in the start screen of the Furcadia client's Beta release..? "startupdragon" original design for the head is © 'Manda.
- This is pretty much my website 'mascot'. Smash the best of both worlds together (dragons and crows), and get.. uh. "corvus draconis"? ;)
- I haven't worked with real media in so long. I've been a little short on cash, so I decided to put up an auction. This is the winning bidder's character, Lakota- A black and yellow wolf with unusual marking placement. (acrylics on bristol.)
- A little emerald dragon, working its way toward its feast on a tree.
- Who am I to resist a theme? I have no idea what a REAL chupacabra would look like (assuming they even existed) but it's a safe bet that it's fangier and nastier than Chu.
- In response to the "draw an overdone cliche" challenge in the Art Challenge LiveJournal community, I drew Kat as a stereotypical were. Drawn in Photoshop with my tablet. I R teh kewl now ;) Artwork © 2003 Kayleen Connell
