Braite, with a can of mountain-dew-like soda! yahoo!
Dulce et decorum est - Happy Armistice Day.
Drawn from the actual thing. Gee...either this has been happening too often in my neighborhood or I was dreadfully ignorant of what went on here before having to walk to work.
Killing time, waiting for paint to dry on a big commission... so I mouse-coloured this pen-and-ink drawing in Photoshop while I wait. A greyhound palace guard, in a different sort of style for me.
Practice with a #2 pencil and a smudge stick. Reducing the file size also reduced an obscene amount of the detail, even though this file is still rather large. I'm not entirely sure of her species... a deer/mountain sheep morph, perhaps?
Raide Siane, Rad... my favorite Utahraptor running off with the last piece of turkey... even after she ate all the rest! Paint marker on acetate for a wallpaper and calendar print. :)
nothing more to say.
Is it better to rein in Hell then serve in Heaven? Is there any point to rule if it serves no purpose? Is there any joy in serving a mind that is never your own?
An abstraction in figure/form/line- experimentation with such things tend to heighten the artistic senses: I recommend many try it- the end result does not have to look like anything so long as the piece speaks to you.
I returned to the old pencil techniques just to get something out of my system. 2H pencil with 2B dark accents on medium texture drawing paper. Originally- the pose was upside-down; if you can't guess why I turned it up like this- don't ask.
