yerf
<March 2, 1999>
- We had a bit of a storm here in New England last week. I was just on the edge of it, myself, but I had rather been hoping winter was over.
- Whoa! Yerf returned while I was napping! Well, while I look for the stuff that I've been saving up for its return and seems to be LOST now, here is another episode in the time wrinkle story. (Yes, it's still going on. And strong, too: we're getting near the big climax.) In this episode Kevin begins showing his new-found resolve. All characters © their creators. :)
- A tribute I'd been planning to do for some time. Keeping up a daily web strip while drawing for Yerf and working a day job and delivering newspapers and running for mayor and learning six languages including Esperanto (I'm kidding about Esperanto, of course) can be a tough job. So here's my appreciation to two of the Internet's brightest and most dutiful comic strip artists! :) Sam Spaniel is © Jeff Darlington and Ozy & Millie are © Rain Simpson.
- Ink sketches of dear li'l Asha, trying out personal flotation devices (also sittin' on a rock and pointing like a slack-jawed yokel) Uploaded with gracious permission of the Right Hon. Charla Trotman :)
- A fox guy with stars. I only had two pens with me, and one was black and one was not. So I drew this. The End.
- Redwally (but really Salamandastron-y) hare archer, looking to nail somebody. I dunno, he's a hare. The whole "Redwall" concept is © Brian Jacques!
- "Devidivannia, the Jungle Cat" - Devi the serval, a jungle-cat who... is comparable to Tarzan, in a way.
- Another portrait of Isomorph. :)
- Another portrait of Lanara. :)
- "Guess Who's Playing Cupid?" - A Valentines Day piccie (that couldn't be posted because of the Yerf "black-out") for Isomorph. Funny, but he doesn't seem too worried...
- Snoozeball, © me. This is a sample of the furry convention badges I am now offering to do. For more information check out http://www.furnation.com/deWylfin/badgeform.html.
- He was a runner-up in the Name the MacFurry Mascot contest, so he gets his picture taken! Here's Talesin McLeod.
- Fuzzybear and I like to play this game a lot. (I'm kidding, but I do growl like that at him sometimes!) A belated "Valentine's Day" wish to all you sweethearts, wherever you are! Fuzzybear © Joel Butler, Dingus and art © Dave Pratt.
- Welcome back, Yerf! This little skunkie obviously fancies carrots in his soup.
- Mr. Bunny upwind imagines himself a Monument of Testicular Fortitude holdin' a gun up to that chick like that.
- Sixty-nine creatures are presumed dead after a plane crash near the home of Amilia Frankfort, in an incident that federal authorities cite mechanical failure. Here, we get a picture of the further disaster averted, as the homeowner sits on the porch of her house with acquaintances Dooky and Adlin, nonchalantly viewing the tragic site with the wreckage only 100 feet away.
- It took two to traverse the sliced belly of the beast of TWA Flight 2088, and here they are: Huskie and Dingus. The former bewares the rocketed corpse of a flight attendant; the latter closes the frozen eyes of the posthumously stunned. Crghts on page.
- The unmoving hull of Flight 2088 is observed by a wary Icefox, while Daniel Slyder checks the thang's insides, where he also scopes the legs. And Twitch...our boy Twitch exhibits bravery rare in him. Crghts on page.
- Koff! Koff! Mary Hannah was so awestruck at the whole darn thing, she forgot the big, wide slough in the way! Lucky her Angel Bear was there at the same moment...nothin' like a guardian angel, is there? ANgel Bear, of course, is G. Ray. Eddy's (did I get that right?)
- It is time I put my graphics tablet away and did some art the old fashioned way again, dust of the airbrush, break open the acrylic inks, and find out which tubes of guache have attained the consistency of concrete. Another image of Digward from my rpg story.. as he is my main character, he gets alot of attention. For another character, see martyn.jpg already on my section.
- Lord Fangs of Gwynfor, and his chief at arms, Digward, enjoying some Rest and Relaxation in the form of falconry. These characters are from a co-operative story and role play that I devised with another player. The finished story may be published sometime this year on my website. Digward and Lord Fangs are © to me.
- *Finally*, my half of an art exchange with Puck Wills is finished and in color. I had entirely too much fun brushing on the brown edges to the fur (I imagine it shows), but I can't say I'm entirely sure about the background. Although Baymerk doesn't look entirely sure about my ability to draw him, either. I'm just a teense insecure at times, okay?
- I don't know what she's looking into the sky with a shocked expression for. Maybe the Neptune Men are invading again and she still can't believe those costumes. This was an experiment with several things, primarily using a crow quill dip pen for inking, but also in expressions and drawing heads from unusual angles. I screwed up the inking quite badly in a few places, but at least it didn't blot. Comments are, as always, welcome. Becky © me.
- Started off as a doodle, but quickly developed into a full picture. And for once, I'm actually quite proud of this one, even if the stupid lameo scanner did mangle it. :/ Anyway, please please PLEASE send your comments and suggestions! Becky © me so ner.
- It's... err..... well it's Raini, ain't it? Raini © Mel K
- "Lenny Landforster" comic strip #1. Let's see what could this worthless project grow into...
- "Lenny Landforster" comic strip #2.
- Amiga has Amy the Squirrel... Atari ST has Tari the SToat <grin>... so who should be spokesfur for the iMac? How about Trixi the Loppess? Trixi is copyright Candy L.
- Riff here (name subject to change) is based on my real life pooch. He's a part of a project of mine titled "Life on the Fast Lane."
- Here is a test pic requested by the Trixilop of one of the characters she and Tet are working on for their post-TW story. Trixi seemed to like it so here's my test pic of Dahlia. :)
- Yes! Life on Yerf has resumed. :) Unfortunately, the glitch took my pic of Gen. Talon away. So here he is again. :) Gen.Talon © his player
- Catnel convalesces! Get well Catnel. :)
- This was a card for a friend of mine ... he plays a unicorn in my CyFurPunk campaign and his birthday's on Groundhog Day. Done in Painter 5.0 (no, it's not a photo background), nifty opalescent effects with Kai's Power Tools 5.
- A day in the life of Prowler. Here he is at work. Looks pretty exciting, huh?
- Solar Fox springs into action !!! Fighting for peace, justice and the furry way. (Solar Fox is © Julian Ho. Any resemblance to any furs, living or dead, is purely coincidential. ;o) )
- I really wanned to try to draw onna those! Plus Calico drew so many pics of my chars already that I can't count them! (Yes, I CAN count! Up to eight, or so!) Seems like this is something like an eternal pay-back pic-exchange, teh heh. But in ANY case, Araknya and the whole race of Spider-people there is © Calico!
- Yo, happy cuddly Valentine, you all! o8-) Even tho it's a bit late now, technically.
- Spectre from the Cybermorphs, © and stuff Ben "Prowlus" Foong! That's all I can think of about the pic. o8-} Cybermorphs are groovy..!
- I am trying a comic strip with the bunnykids. Hope you like it. Bunnykids Comics©1999 by Donald Brown (Oldrabbit)
- A big round of applause for all the hard work to get yerf back on. So I drew a picture for Rat, and Sully. :) I should have spent a bit more time on it. But I wanted to get it up. Art by Oldrabbit 1999
- A graceful lapine type fem who seems rather engrossed in her dancing...
- (re-upload due to Yerf outage) Originally supposed to be a thank you pic for Hedgy.. but I didn't have any info or reference material on her character, so here's a grey-white generic furry girl thing with a BIG gun. (a Barret .50 BMG... it shoots through schools...)
- Hi, my name is Sara H. now. c_c; This is a commissioned picture of Jessie the Fox. I think this is one of my better coloring jobs, and a really awesome setup! She's © her player.
- *Shrill giggle in the background.* Missy and Buff in plugsuits! Missy is © me, Buff's © Alison McCoy.
- "BACK!! BACK!! BACK!! BACK!!" "Hey! shut the ____ up!!" I just thought the artwork to the Limp Bizkit CD was pretty cool =)
- Hehe, dunno about this one. It's kinda been laying around a while. And that's a bag of Skittles in mid-air...
- Just a quick experiment in hard lighting and shadows.
- Graphic example of the results of too much Half-Life, Limp Bizkit and Massive Attack...
- This is an excerpt from the end of a short comic I'm working on. It's probably the only part furry enough to post here. Hmmm, Viper vs. Syclone...
- Astos really likes fire and other things of that nature and is taking advantage of the Shivae known as Scythe's curious nature to light up that balled up fuse, ARGH! Astos is © his player and Scythe is © me. Taken from RP on Genesis.
- A simple image of a Fox angel.
- Flashback, an older Transformer I Rped on Genesis.
- Ack, I'm not on my own computer, but anyway, I did manage to upload something. This is Rayne from Transformer's Genesis a black Fox Cyantian standing outside of the City of Acropolis on Mars. Rayne is © to Rayne :)
- Rayne and Angel from Genesis, just a cute late Valentiney day type image :P Rayne and Angel are © their players!
- Here's a drawing for BigBlueFox, of his giant coyote, Snirf! He's a big coyote, 12 feet tall at the shoulder to be exact, so he needs a lot of room to run around. He's enjoying his romp! Brushpen on bristol, colored with Prisma pencils, color adjustments and filters in Photoshop.
- The poor lion...he tries to help but he doesn't know what to do. All he can do is offer a shoulder. Funny how the fur traps the tears, keeps them from falling to the ground. Thanks Brian. Love ya. Brushpen and Pshop coloring.
- See what happens when you say nice things about an artists' work?<BR> Thanks, I needed the cheering up! It's my interpretation of Jessica Ratte's Dexter. Boy do I need to work on my dogs! Brushpen and Pshop coloring.
