"Waiting For Enlightenment." (Cleanup drawing of the earlier sektch.) Still waiting... I've lit the candle, said the prayers, and I still don't feel any more enlightened...
There must be some kinda way to live out here, said the Vulpine to the Cat. Too much confusion... where my heart is at. So let us talk of Honor then, the Cheetah softly spoke. Grow beyond the cruelty -- that human hearts invoke. Let us live the choices now, of worthy Soul set free! Where your Focus leads you, friend, your rest will someday be.
"Wolf Nation: Teacher" (24"x18", Oil on canvas) A white wolf lays amid a field of Labrador Tea on an Alaskan summer day. She has much to teach, those who have the strength to listen.
Wolf Model: 3D model of a wolf (pre-rigging) -- he is the gentle, kind leader of his pack, directing through strength and praise. His every resonance reflects the belief that one should treat one's inferiors as one would wish to be treated by one's superiors.
"Wolf Dance," (3D/Live-Action composite). The breath of fall touches the land. A wolf bids the winter welcome. (First test of "Painter" on his new rigging, which is basically the same rigging taught in "LW 3D Character Animation." My goal in this was not to re-create reality, but to create something that looks "good." And though it's funny to think about, "Right" and "Real" are often two very different things.)
This is a sketch for a (paid) painting commission for some wonderful humans up here, of their incredible companion. We're going with a different angle, but I just fell in love with this drawing so much I just had to do a little clean-up on it and share!
Wolfie is a master of poise and grace. He knows which fork is used with salad, and which is used with dessert. He passes the port wine clockwise, and is always the epitome of composure.
Wolfie is the epitome of composure... until he's not! (He never does anything halfway.) Wolfie is one of the 3D models that ships Free (Setups and all) with my book that teaches you how to create Feature Quality animation! Whether you're drawing or on a computer, the same qualifications of what makes things good still applies! This book teaches you to do what I do! From there, your Path is what you dream. "Lightwave 7.0 Character Animation," March 20, 2002 (available in pre-order online at BN and Borders).
For those of you working on your own short films, the distributor of "Kaze, Ghost Warrior" is looking for entries to include on a DVD compilation. All included artists will share the entirety of net profits. Information can be found here: http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=163091 . Looking forward to seeing your Visions on the Screen! - Amadhi :)
"Watching the Spring Rains" (14"x18", Oil on canvas) Mojo (AKA "Mo," "Mo-Mo," "My-Mo-Man," "Mo-seefus") watches the rains wash the winter's snows away. (Color posting of the earlier, B&W under-painting. Mo has these incredible, ice-blue eyes that the B&W just couldn't capture.)
(Wordware needed to change the cover of my book to reflect their branding motif.) So, here it is, complete with a cartoon wolf (Wolfie) and an anthropomorphic lioness (Msaka) -- both included and ready to animate on the CD -- soon to be appearing in stores (already available on Amazon and BN.com)! The "secrets" to take you from where you are now, to where you want to be. "If you buy only one book on animation, this is the one to buy." -- Tom Roth (30 year animation veteran: Disney Feature, Sony Pictures, PDI and R&H).
We were home then... your touch brought life to me. We were home then... the world made sense to me. Your Love, was all I need... When We Were Wolves. (30"x24", oil on canvas)
"Kaze, Ghost Warrior" has its first "fan-site!" http://ghost-warrior.com ! Huge thanks to Phlio for creating and maintaining this beautifully done site, and to 4thOrder for the content-management system the site is using! I'm totally supporting Phlio in his efforts, so there will be images exclusive to his site, and there is also an "Ask Kaze" section where Kaze hosts an advice-column!
"Young Medicine Woman Being Punished For Being a Shapeshifter." The Native Alaskans were persecuted for being who they were as recently as the 1950s. People being beaten simply for speaking their own language was common.
