"Silent Thunder," (Lightwave, Sassquatch and Digital Fusion) Not to be confused with the Celestial Seasonings hyper-caffeinated "Morning Thunder," exploring the leaps-and-bounds of Wildlife Art. :)
"Alaskan: Size Does Matter." T-Shirt design (featuring my li'l Joey!) *** BTW... If anyone will be finding themselves in Fairbanks (Alaska) this summer, stop into The Artworks Gallery! I'll be having a one-man show there for the month of July. The opening will be July 5th, with refreshments and a harper for musical ambiance! See you there! :)
Updated photo of me and four of my closest friends! Clockwise from the guy on the runners: PeterPan, Strawberry, Rascal and Kemu. They are "Alaskan" Huskies, Siberians mixed with Hound to varying degrees. This mixture somehow makes for the most Loving, empathic, Spiritual, strongest canine Be-ings I've ever had the pleasure of knowing!
"Star Nation Wolves At Play" (24"x34", Oil on canvas). (Exploring light and lighting, also trying to get as much life and energy into a painting as can be found in a good animation drawing. A friend of mine suggested the title, and I thought -- Hey, winged wolves? Far out! I've seen a lot of beautiful winged wolves from friends who are fellow Yerf-artists, and was genuinely curious as to how that concept would take shape through my own little viewpoint on the Uinverse.)
I can't think of anything to say to describe this painting. It is, however, a re-painting of a piece done about a year ago, a piece that ended up with torn canvas.
Bayakko Soyokaze. Though he is master of a large domain, his power has not in any way compromised his srtong sense of justice and honor. He is well loved by those that serve him and those who are ruled by him. He has a very special place in his heart for his master of the guard, Kasi whose gentleness and compassion match his own.
Added some GNU gallery management software to the "Ghost Warrior" website to make it easier to post new Production Artwork... (and keep my focus where it needs to be, on finishing the film. :) . . . http://wordware.com/ghostwarrior/
Blessed Samhain! May your walks among the worlds be safe, enjoyable and filled with wonderment! (More "Stills" on the "Kaze, Ghost Warrior" website... :)
(It has been a busy last couple of weeks, full of good and sad.) This sketch is Strawberry. She's a leader and runs with Wolf. She's sweet, but a little uncertain at times and comes off as being a little gruff around the edges.
"Summer Sun-Days," (15"x20", oil on canvas). It was such a beautiful day today... I just _had_ to take some time out and do something fun with the Pack. Portrait of my Peter Pan, ("Buddha-P") thinking of those lazy, warm, late-summer afternoons. (Re-upload on account of the painting now being dry enough to scan and not leave itself on the scanner. ;P )
Chrome foxes whispering thoughts of how they'll never leave each other again. (Done a while ago while playing with re-creating that earlier painting of two foxes. No, they're not made of poly-malmetic alloy... well, maybe they are. :P )
There's a very nice article about "Kaze, Ghost Warrior" on AnimWatch.com. They also are showing the first "un-chaperoned" view of the facial animation software I had developed for use on the film...
playing with new styles, and here's the result of foolin' around! :P If you took Brahm Stoker's Dracula and crossed him with Jenner (Secret of NIMH) here's what you'd have.
Working with fur shaders for an article in Keyframe Magazine (#29), comparing the top fur plug-ins for Lightwave. This is a first test of a wolf's head using Sasquatch from Worley Labs (http://www.worley.com). See more of Takagi, Kasi and Msaka (and other, various furred entities) in Keyframe Magazine, issue #29!
