"Daybreak: Denali" (Lightwave 3D). This is the Scene for "Daybreak: Denali" in Wireframe. (I don't know if anyone out there is interested in seeing this -- I can only speak for myself, but I am always more fascinated by seeing other artist's sketches and works-in-progress than in the final, polished piece. Seeing what goes on "under" the polish shows you how You can do the same thing in your own work.)
ruff cleanup of a character inspired by another dobie character in a film i just can't recall at the moment. haven't thought of a name for him at the moment, but i'm sure something'll stick :) spent waay too much time at work talking so ink and paint'll have to wait 'till tomorrow or so. TTFN! :) (TahTahForNow!)
Diamond Multimedia Graphics Cards are back and better than ever! (Box Art for the "Viper" line.) Also wanted to note that there is now a "Studio Tour" of TA Animation available from the "Ghost Warrior" website. And there is a tentative DVD distribution deal for a Special Edition "Ghost Warrior" DVD (including a 1-hour 'mockumentary' on its creation). The website will soon be accepting pre-orders that will not be billed until the unit ships, but the deal only goes if there are at least 700 pre-orders by the first of December!
"Enchanted" (Lightwave 3D). This was an experiment using Happy Digital's "HD_Instance" plug-in. (There are over 200,000 fully-reflective items, [Scales and Coins,] in this Scene.) (And also, a great cheer for Yerf being up again. You don't know the positive impact something has in your life until it is no longer there. Yerf does a great service to this world... by simply being what it is.) (Prints are available at: http://Timothy.WetCanvas.com/prints/ )
"Essential Lightwave," is a book for anyone who has ever admired 3D Artwork, but wasn't quite sure how to get from "point A" to "Kick-Bootie Render." 3D is _easy_, when you know the tricks the Professionals Use! Pre-Order through http://www.wordware.com/lightwave
P.S. "Essential Lightwave" also comes with a full demo version of Lighwave 3D, (non-time-limited, I believe,) a 50-dollar coupon off LW, and about 200MB worth of free and shareware plugins and external programs, including the full version of Cinepaint, the 48bit paint program used on "Harry Potter," "Men in Black 2," "Scooby Doo," and more! (This is in addition to all completed Scenes, Models and Textures for the exercises in the book - if, like me, you learn best through exploring how someone else works!) (Image is an Early version of Kaze)
And for those of you who may be thinking, "Wow, I'd love to get into that 3D stuff, but there's so much to learn..." My new book, "Essential Lightwave" has just hit the street - it gives you the practical experience of someone who has worked in The Industry for between five and eight years, telling you how to do and solve things you really want to know, (like wolf head modeling, fur, cloth and compositing - this image comes from one of the many step-by-step tutorials!) (Buy the book - book and art sales are how this wacky dreamer makes a living! :P )
"Forget it Mac. Its Chinatown." No, Todd isn't back... not yet at least. Artists are delicate beings, and must be handled with respect and care, if they are going to be able to maintain their connection their connection with the Creative. In the interim, here's a Film Noir-ish coffeeshop doodle.
Goddess Bless... for all the innocent souls who passed beyond this day. May the Loved ones you leave behind be comforted in the days and years to come.
"Gentle Musher." The Poster for the 2002 Yukon Quest; also available as a T- and Sweat-Shirt from http://shopyukonquest.com/IBS/SimpleCat/Shelf/ASP/Hierarchy/04.html (All proceeds go to the Yukon Quest.) And for those of you not familiar with Mushing, this is how nearly every musher feels about his/her dogs. (Pictured is Rascal.)
So that's it. I'm outta here. I'm on my way north to a land where there are places that roads can't take you, a land where Nature is as much a part of everyday life as is breathing. I'm off to dance with the wolves, to walk under skies that don't know the lo-glo of city lights, to find again a meaning for things that at one time needed no explanation.
The Teaser-Trailer for Ghost Warrior is online at: http://www.wordware.com/ghostwarrior/Trailer/ (MPG1 is 4.7MB, DivX5 is 20MB, QT6 is 27MB). It will soon be linked through the Ghost Warrior main page, but wanted to get this out there just in case any of you will be attending SIGGRAPH. Look for the full NTSC resolution version to be playing at the NewTek booth.

Hey everybody! This week has left so little time for drawing it has really been painful! I did sneak off to a quiet place today to get this ruffed out, though. :) Looks like SOMETHING caught Matt's attention. ;P
Just a happy li'l lion; happy 'cause the sun is warm, fall is beautiful and even though he's alone, he feels in love. -- It's been a while since I've done a drawing just for the simple enjoyment of drawing. No glitz, no glam, (no clients,) just watching simple shapes form someone beautiful. *...purrr...*
