Some members of the BAF and myself visited Great America in October.. C Eagle heard about it and swooped over to say hi!
I told Jamie Malecki I'd try to do a rendering of his Rabats for him on T'r'T Day. Wanted to do something more elaborate but I'm pressed for time, so this'll have to do. :)
C Eagle in his red convertible, cooling out big time out on the highway!
Notice that the Kids did not say, "He followed us home..." Though they might fib now and again, the Raccoon Kids have a deep streak of honesty in them. Of course, by now Rudy has about half the family's groceries in HIM, so it probably doesn't make too much difference... Rudy's only going to be a dinner guest, looks like. :) Rudy © Diosden Rodriguez
...*serious* blues... <:(
This is a loose end I really wanted to tie up. Capt. Raphael was so gracious to loan us his sails, I wanted to make sure he got them back. Thanks, Capt. :) (And Kelvin? I could *draw* a spammer... but I couldn't put it on Yerf. >:( )
Those Yerflings who were watching last year know that Howie gave me a slug (who had a feature role in a comic he drew) for a birthday present. (See same_bth.jpg) I didn't know he was going to do that. Turns out there were quite a few things I didn't know about the slug creature. But Happy Birthday anyway, Howie. :) (And Mr. Furness, too, to whom Howie is © )
Never fails. Every year that young feline comes up with something this old feline isn't expecting. Caught completely by surprise. *sigh*. <:) Happy birthday, you young whippersnapper.
Hold it. HOLD ON one frosty minute here... Two against one?? That's against the rules! O_O
One day we may qualify for a birthday tradition in and of ourselves. :)
Well, well! Imagine my surprise when, with Hysteria's posting, I discovered that Howie and myself have the same birthday! Isn't that special! :) Note: I am NOT mad at Howie ( who, along with that *creature*, is © Jason Furness)... it was necessary for me to feign resentment in order for the gag to work. Okay? :)
C Eagle scritching me!
'Silken' a friendly little cat I first met on FurToonia.
This is one of the sketches I decided not to color for Asrial. It's a good drawing, but the position of the characters could be better.
This is the other sketch I did for Asrial, but opted not to finish and color. It looks okay, but it doesn't really stand alone. It looks like part of a 'What are we waiting for? Let's go!' sequence.
Another of the sketches I did at the airport... in fact, inspired a little *by* the ambiance of the airport, and having to wait such a l-o-n-g time for my flight.. :( My cool avain pal C Eagle doesn't have that problem, does he? :) C Eagle appears by permission of his player.

These are from one of my sketchbooks I doodled in while waiting for my flight to arrive, during a trip I took recently. Just quick little sketches to pass the time... this one's of Sully and Minkle! Both © Scotty Arsenault
*Skunk Sunday!* Yes, this last Sunday on FurryMUCK I was overwhelmed by "mephit-ology"! I finally got to meet, for the first time on FM, not only the charming Cuanu, but also one of the most respected furs anywhere, the amazing AltarSkunk! And Stinken was there too, apparently a big fan of mine. *blush* Even MelSkunk dropped by to share a hug with me! :) Plus I was paging my friend Telbert at the same time! Stripey tails to you all! :) Actually there were more furs than this, sorry if I left any out, but Thanksgiving's gonna be at my house, and I'm MEGA-busy...
Spaceroo wrote me a very nice E-mail letter, and I thought I'd work on the fact that he reminds me of the early pulp SF heroes to draw him as one. Here's the May 1940 issue of SpaceRoo Science Fiction Magazine! :) Spaceroo © John Siemer. SPECIAL NOTE: There is a concern, both in E-mail to me and, now, on the SCFA itself, that there are too much emphasis on my character, and that it is taking the fun of SCFA away from others. This is not something I want to happen. But I *do* post a lot of responses, and I do draw myself in them. So, until further notice, of all the pictures I upload in a single day, at least one will NOT have Gene in it. And if I only upload one, it won't be of me. That way, at least one artist will not be drawing me so much, even if it's only me. Sorry if I've made anyone feel upset.
Here's a so-so scan of a recent commission I did for Kendall and Sir Kain's player, Eric Goodwin. Who, of course, these characters are ©. :)
Just as a little farewell pic for Emilie as she heads for school... Hank bids goodbye to Starset as she leaves on a train trip. As a special note: Except for the train in the background, which I swiped from one of my early comics, the two foreground characters were drawn completely with my Kalidor pen computer instead of on paper and touched up with it. I rarely work without paper, but this time it worked well. All char's © EBC :)
A nice pic for a nice fur. StarVixen is © her neat self. :)
Here's a comissioned work I did for StormWolf, giving a nice hug to his good friend Dandy! :) StormWolf © Chris Zawadski, Dandy © Marco Morales
Another one of Fetch's characters is Eliza, a fem skunk. I had a bit more free reign in how I was able to draw her, and being that TOS remains (in spite of, admittedly, some excellent latter-day versions) my all-time favorite Star Trek, you can guess how I rendered her. Eliza is, once again, © Eric Willette. :)
I've been drawing a few pics for a very cool pooch named Fetch. Much of the time he's a Federation fur. Here's how he looks when he's on duty. Fetch is © Eric Willette. :) (BTW you're welcome Chilly. I myself am more interested in your art. :) )
Here's a little pic of my Federation Fur friend Fetch's *very* good friend and co-officer, Mouse. :) (She's © Beth Turrene)
Here's a picture of my new friend Sully Fox, whose style I greatly admire and who's done a wonderful picture of me! Hoo Ha, fun-filled fox! :)
*BIG* hugs to Sully for the great pic of the Observant One! Yes, shampoo will keep your fur fluffy (especially the chocolate-scented kind) but hugs keep you fluffy and happy too! :) Everything you draw literally bowls me over in wonder, Sully. You put so much joyous happy energy into every line you put on the page, I'm at a loss for words. You *rule*, Sully... you rule utterly!!! :)
