Baaa... *thwiip* SWING! It's Spider-Goat, and his amazing... udders?! Inspired by a recent story in the Washington Post. A genetics company has spiced the gene for spider silk protiens into dairy goats. These new transgenic goats produce milk that can be refined into spider silk, with a tensile strength of 60,000 Lbs. It's 5x stronger than steel, and can be woven into Bullet proof vests hat are lighter and stronger than Kevlar. As cool and harmless as all this is, I still get images of this in my mind. Well, that and goats that chitter, climb walls and devour each other.
Layout for a cel that sold at Anthrocon this year that I hand inked and painted. Was an idea for cover art. I later on went with another image. I have two auctions up on Fur Bid. The lack of hours I was given while working in California has taken a financial toll on me. If you like what you see and are willing to help me with purchasing school books for classes (school starts the 28th), feel free to bid! http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auction.pl?commission_genfur&1028150741 & 1028150864
One of my roommates has a good collection of costume references, which I've realized I should be taking more of an advantage of. Uhm.. the pose is undynamic because he's standing for the photograph.. yeah.. and people didn't move around much in the Victorian age, anyway. Living in black and white tends to do that, see. Er...
So I finally got a tablet! And it came with painter, so... here's my six in the morning doodle that I fixed up a little tonight. You know, someone should stop me from trying to draw swans- I'm really no good at them! :)
Page 8 of "Conspiracy of Mammals." I've been trying to get more daring with panel layouts, and inspired by all the cool layouts in "Sandman" I cooked up this somewhat melodramatic scene.
<cough> I have absolutely no excuse for this, except that it was late, I was trying to draw a model sheet, and I'd been reading too many VCL threads about big pants.
