- Barry T. Bruin (a bear), the first member of my little band. Drawn in colored pencil.
- Barry T. Bruin (a bear), all dressed up and mad about something. Pencil drawing.
- Barry T. Bruin (a bear), posing in his PJ's. This colored pencil drawing is practically a self-portrait, as I kept referring to my reflection in the mirror to get the folds and shadows right.
- A stark black-and-white drawing of Barry T. Bruin (a bear) glaring directly at you. I must have been in a bad mood the day I drew this.
- Barry T. Bruin (a bear) dries himself off after his weekly bath. Boy, that feels good! Pencil drawing.
- Barry T. Bruin (a bear) looking distraught and apologetic; don't ask me why. Colored pencil drawing.
- "Things that go bump in the night." Something has awoken our friends in the middle of the night, and they're going to investigate. From left to right: Kurt Feline (cat), Doug Barker (dog), Barry T. Bruin (bear), Robert Lapine (rabbit). Characters are acrylic paint on clear acetate, background is a sheet of construction paper.
- "I can't believe it!" When I saw BBF's Interactive Furry Art challenge, I figured, "What the heck, I'll send in an idea." Then today I log in and find BBF used my suggestion! Wow! I was so giddy I just had to make this quickie pic to show my appreciation. Thanks, BBF! (This interactive furry art is fun. I hope it catches on.)
- Doug Barker (a dog), the second member of my little band, at his day job. Drawn in ink and colored pencil.
- Doug Barker (a dog) in futuristic garb. Ten points if you can tell me where I stole his outfit from. :-) Pencil drawing.
- Doug Barker (a dog), showing off his new threads. Felt-tip marker with colored pencil.
- Canine the Barbarian? Doug Barker (a dog) in a sword-and-sorcery pic. The outfit is borrowed from an inside back cover of "Equine the Uncivilized." Hope Groat doesn't mind. Felt-tip marker with colored pencil.
- "Hippo Hugs." I'm such a hippo fanatic that I've created my own hippo website (http://members.aol.com/HippoPage/). This is the Valentine's Day card I e-mailed to all the other hippomaniacs who signed my guest book.
- "Dancing Machine" Hubert the Hippo struts his stuff. Colored pencil sketches.
- Kurt Feline (a cat), the fourth and final member of my little band, reminding us how cool he is. Drawn in colored pencil.
- Kurt Feline (a cat), angry as usual. Pencil drawing.
- Kurt Feline (a cat) decked out in combat gear. Colored pencil drawing.
- Kurt Feline (a cat) all set for a night on the town. Pencil drawing.
- A generic mouse sneaks out of a generic mouse-hole. Character is acrylic paint on clear acetate, background is felt marker with colored pencil.
- An idea that never got off the ground: A comic-book story told in the "second person" (i.e., the reader sees everything from the point of view of a character in the story). Here, Doug Barker (a dog) introduces the reader to his home.
- My four main characters, dropped into a pirate story. From left to right they are Barry T. Bruin (a bear), Kurt Feline (a cat), Robert Lapine (a rabbit), and Doug Barker (a dog). Characters are acrylic paint on clear acetate, background is watercolor.
- Guess it's time to update my RL picture. This is me last Halloween in a bear costume I made all by myself (from a store-bought pattern). It came out a lot better than the previous year's bear suit, even if I did place the ears a tad low. Well, live and learn!
- Being the major hippo fan that I am, I couldn't resist making this parody of the Riverdance poster. (You DO know that the word "hippopotamus" means "river horse," don't you?) Colored pencil drawing with a few computer enhancements.
- Robert Lapine (a rabbit), the third member of my little band, showing off his yo-yo skills. Drawn in colored pencil.
- Robert Lapine (a rabbit), just daydreaming. Felt-tip marker drawing.
- Robert Lapine (a rabbit), lookin' good in shades. Pencil drawing.
- Explanation: I work for a defense contractor, and my department supports a minifactory known as Central Circuit Card Assembly (CCCA for short). Due to a recent merger, the work performed by CCCA is being moved out of state, while work performed at other facilities is being moved to our location. Thus, everyone in my department is scrambling to find a new position. I've been hearing a lot of jokes about "rats deserting a sinking ship," which reminded me of a certain blockbuster movie, which led to THIS.
- Haven't uploaded anything for a few months, but the "What if the world went furry?" challenge was too intriguing to resist. Here's my first contribution to the effort.
- And here's my second contribution to the "What if the world went furry?" effort.
- Yet another contribution to the "What if the world went furry?" scenario.
