Reupload. Got rid of the annoying yellow line down the side (I hope). I miss having access to real image editing software... My entry for this week's trading post. Congratulations Kohali!
The second commission I've done for Mr. Jim Steinberg of his colorful avatar, Yao Chi! This one's got a bit of a twist, though, it's Yao Chi as a Quilin (Which, as I understand it, is some form of relative ot the kirin)
Another 'Charley' pic. This is my character Zegate. He's a cross between an Okapi and an African Wild Dog. He also personifies my computer. Look, he's pretending to be all cute and innocent-like.
Though unintentional, these guys ended up bearing a striking resemblance to my friends Chris and Jeff. Yup, badpuppy boyfriend smokes, but he's going to quit this summer when he goes to a precollege art program. Cullerd peenselz R FUN!
Oil pastel piece from last October that I just got around to scanning and piecing together. Based on a really old creature design- but the original creature had hind legs, too, and could come up onto the ice.
Someone already had the filename "owl." Just a somewhat stylized linoleum print owl from my AP art 'folio. My high school had such horroble printing equipment. I wish I'd been able to use Ringling's print studio at the time, it would've come out much better...:P
This is a scan of a photo, so please bear with me on the quality. Acrylic paint, with a very tediously cut out and glued on black paper outline. I figure, why wouldn't an african wild dog take a condor on a date?
Wow. I'm elated to be here. This is from last year, one of the few older pieces that I still like. This one's hanging on my wall. As far as I know, the kanji says "Reborn."
And my half of a trade with the very talented Terzy. 'tis her donkoon char, Sabine. (I hope this is Yerf acceptible, It's not meant in any sort of provacative way)
'I wished for wings and when I got them I flew. I loved to fly and so I wished for more. I got what I wished for and now- I cannot fly.'... Someday I will learn to properly use watercolor.
This has gone through many changes since its humble beginings as a 15-minute sketch in my sketchbook. This is Sunspot, a Cheetaur demigod. Colored Pencil.
...yay, another phoenix. I don't intend to upload many older pics, so don't worry. This was the day I discovered how beautiful green is. I still like this, even if I don't consider it one of my better pieces.
This is about a year old, but it's the best reference page I have for my character Tragos (who used to be me, but somehow branched off and became her own person). For this week's trading post (which I was definitely not expecting to win).
Commission for Jim Steinberg of his very colorful avatar, Yao Chi! I'm kindof frustrated that the yellow in the clouds turned out that, well, yellow in the scan. In the original, the yellow's much more subtle.
