Anyway I didn't bother uploading the other developmental sketches because they're really not good enough for Yerf, they're on VCL if you want to see them. (DAMN those 8.3 filenames!) I spent some of my birthday money buying a book on the proper usage of markers, so I thought I'd try it out for this second concept sketch of Misty. This drawing was done on Bristol board and coloured with Prismacolor and Pantone markers. Note how much smoother the black lines are when drawn on Bristol compared to ordinary paper as in Misty1. Alas, the scanner mangled this one. Adjusting the levels partially retrieved the colours, but I couldn't do much about the banding. I need a REAL scanner! Misty © me.

I hate to admit it, but I fell asleep in a lecture for the first time ever last week. It was an object oriented programming lecture, which just goes to show how intresting OOP lectures really are. Anyway, when I'm not rendered unconcious by the lecturer's sparkling reparte, I'm usually trying to keep myself awake by doodling in the front page of my notebooks. Don't ask me how the tie fighter and the death star made it in there though.
