- Fan art regarding Phil Foglio's "Girl Genius" series (www.studiofoglio.com). It depicts part of a fanfic I'm developing based on that continuum; here we see Roy Calbeck as a biological construct with a very strange tale to tell.
- Roy Calbeck joins the race! With him is his untrusty steed, Doodle'Corn --- last seen lurking about ancient tomes of the "Dallas Brawl Update"...somebody shoot me! -:D
- She looks kind of confuzzled, doesn't she? Wonder why...
- Originally done for the Xanadu fanzine "Everchanging Palace", this piece shows Empress Isadora (from "Xanadu:2000") fending off some assailant, her back to an as-yet-unopened emergency exit.
- Yes! It's...the JATO IMPALA! If you're not a fan of the Darwin Awards, you prolly won't get this, but it's a silly pic anyways. -:)
- Here's the color version of the original JATO Impala pic.
- Color version of kajilyon.jpg...one of my better pix to date, IMNSHO. And no, this isn't Digo's girlfriend in uniform. -:)
- "Ensign Kajiko Lyonne, for bravery in the face of enemy fire under dire circumstances, is hereby awarded the Xanadan Stellar Cross. Her actions, in defense of her wingmates and the citizens of Callinost V, reflect great credit upon the 7th Imperial Sector Guard and the Xanadan Space Forces. Given under my hand this Remembrance Day, 2012, Her Royal Highness Empress Isadora."
- Just saw the most recent World of Warcraft demo trailer...and on seeing the new Tauren models, my brain did THIS to me...ow ow ow
- Okay, okay! I give! Here's a bluidy kilted uni! Now hands off th' haggis!
- Due to the proliferation of dragons with mammalian traits in furfandom, I thot I might as well officially recognize the breed... -;>
- Color version of mamdrac.jpg. A print sold at CF11 (happyuni!).
- Sometimes, it IS the size of the equipment that matters...
- Whee! Just sold this piece at CF10 --- an equine marine scout investigates a recaptured civilian liner's docking area during mop-up operations.
- Update to an earlier version of the same pic: My Bitty Horsie, My Bitty Horsie / What will today's objective be? / My Bitty Horsie, My Bitty Horsie / Welcome to the DMZ / Look out for snipers / Tripwire and vipers / M16 by your side / My Bitty Horsie, My Bitty Horsie / There's noplace here you can hide...
- A horse trooper admonishes his squad to sit tight, ready to ambush a Cocky Jockey --- er, mecha pilot.
- From the annals of the Dallas Brawl APAzine --- Roy Calbeck surveys the wreckage of one of his Mint Vaults after a Flinthoof raid. Polecat (copyright his creator) seems nonplussed.
- Color version of a commission I did for Morphy the FurryMuck balloonpanther!
- Moses, as a mule. I drew this immediately after seeing "The Prince of Egypt", which ends moments before Moses finds out what the Israelites have been doing while he's been up on Mount Sinai. I figger this is what he would have looked like, in mule form, about five seconds after the film ended. -:>
- Okay, okay, so it's a REALLY old joke! It's a really old pic. Just haven't gotten around to uploading it 'til now.
- And after my brain had finished savaging me on that score, THIS popped in...anyone got any aspirin?
- As a member of the "Bizarre Wars" APAzine, I've created a little country called "The Union" (creative, neh?). Here we see a freshman at Sollod State, the most prestigious (and almost only) center for higher education in the Union, um...well, get a higher education than expected. D-.
- I've been a fan of Stan Sakai's work for about a decade now, although this is the only fan art I ever drew involving any of his characters. I liked how Usagi came out --- Stan's work provided excellent models to work off of --- by felt the horse was lacking. Maybe I should color this piece to give it some depth...
- After years of declining sales, Hasbeen Toys felt its super-saccharine "My Bitty Horsie" line needed revamping. This had worked with previous resurrections --- Flutter Horsies, Big Brother Horsies and supercute sidekicks had all helped Hasbeen maintain profit margins. But the most recent concept, a "new and improved" TV series, flopped badly after one season. It was felt a radical shift in marketing was needed to "obtain better access to market share" --- why not try to sell MBH to little boys? But boys only bought action toys, like G.I. Jim. Toys like G.I. Jim...
- I highly recommend Girl Genius if you're at all into comics, Mad Science, and/or Phil Foglio's artwork. This pic is Agatha done up as a unicorn. Hope Phil doesn't mind too much... -:)
- My direct reaction to Yasser Arafat's attempt to downplay Palestinians dancing in the streets on Bloody Tuesday. For a stronger statement on our war against terrorism, see http://calbeck.tripod.com/scott4gov/oct15.htm.
- Pushing Tsunami. More fun wif PhotoShop filters and layered color.
- Preliminary mockup cover for a possible (someday, someday...) alternative-history comic based on Vicky Wyman's "Xanadu". The premise is that during Empress Alicia's absence on a mission of state ("Across Diamond Seas, Into Golden Skies" series), the nobility of Xanadu begins enacting harsh measures to prevent blurring of the caste system which their power relies on. Meanwhile, an unknown and unlanded Unicorn who prides himself as being "freeborn" leads an uprising against a particularly oppressive lordling...and so Xanadu stands on the verge of Civil War...
- Kinda my take on the two major parties, and what needs to be done in American parlor-tricks.
- An early experiment in drawing ducks. I wanted to do something different, so here we see Quackius Ignoramus, a centuwion and weading wepwesentative of Impewial Wome.
