The elusive appletaur is native to the northwestern U.S. It likes cool climates, long walks on the beach and smooth jazz. seeking compatible mate for life.
My mom commissioned me to do this for her former employer. She's of native american heritage, but my mom failed to recall either the people she's descended from or her spirit animal (she does, in fact, have a spirit animal). We decided that it might very well be the bear. Besides, nobody DOESN'T like bears. I took this from part of a legend about a man who, in visiting with a council of bears is transformed into one himself. He dies in the end but... well... so do we all.
Whenever people make mystical characters with earrings up the wazoo and glowing tattoos and magical dragons living up their butt, they give them complex, made-up names like Naphtzirea, Tyrnabuul, Naadirea, Foobar, etc. Now, i'm not saying i have anything against sugh names, but i mean, at least one of them had to have had parents that got sick of forgetting how to spell their kids names. Whatever happened to Josh, the warlock? Or Robert the conjurer? Where's Steve the Alchemist? So i give you, Darrel. He works in accounting. (photo courtesy of corbis.com)
Two more random djinn designs. I'm going to make a larger piece with these, the raven and others. Just fartin' around with ideas here ^-^. (ballpoint pen)
Part of a larger picture ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/5541030/ ), cropped and edited for Yerf. Lizard design based largely on that of my own gecko. ^-^ (micron pen, photoshop)
Spent an entire day listening to "into the west" and somehow this just sorta happened.Annie Lennox, you can sing me to sleep all night long. :) (pencil sketch, photoshop)
well, it's cutting it kinda close, but i'm ashamed to say i'm totally lacking in a proper halloween drawing. i have a VERY good reason, i assure you, but the details would only bore you. suffice it to say that... HOLY CRAP WHAT'S THAT??? *throws drawing at you and runs* happy halloween, kids!
Fact #1: Peacocks are male. The females are known as Peahens, and they're far more plain looking. Fact #2: This is a guy in drag ;) (watercolor, ballpoint pen)
a kitsune a little unclear on the concept of her standard duties and obligations.or maybe it's her day off. who am i to say. and i can only guess at what type of fur/hair lines that hood or hers. (i recently got a digital camera, so i can relate to the feeling here.)
This is what happens when i listen to too much Jason Mraz. Besides, there really is nothing that can make one feel so incredibly one with the universe as lying naked in the dandelion patch. ... even if they're not really dandylions. (micron pen, watercolor)
So, with my film in a finished state (i hesitate to call it "done"), i have time for doodling and the like. ... and that's why foxes are cooler with jet packs. ... orca monsters don't need jet packs to be cool (watercolor, ballpoint pen)
