Guess her credit situation's got her angry! But...she see Toe Dude in the back? The second drawing done entirely with a .30mm/size 00 Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph technical pen.
So, at work, I suddenly hanker, "Pastels!" 'cuz I haven't done a thing with them in years, and so I buy Nupastels an' Strathmore pastel paper. BLAM! in mere hours, this comes out. Bird. Forest. Happy me!!
A looooooong overdue commission for a very patient, friendly, and understanding customer. This is the edited version of the original. I love how this came out! Eira the ring-tailed cat does a drunken jig on top of the bar, while the other patrons look on.
I haven't posted much to Yerf in a long time, mostly because much of what I've done hasn't exactly been Yerfable. But here's more previews of the comic I'm working on.
Some people had been curious about how I drew a page. Well, here's an example of what a page looks like prior to my inking them. Since I ink my own work I don't redo the pencils past this stage. I use red mechnical lead because it does not scan very well and reduces erasing time (though I prefer blue, but I'm out).
Raven - 12/01/2000 An even more ancient piece of art, this time done for a close friend. He used to have an old MUD alf-elf druid ranger named "Raven," logic dictated he should also have that character BE an anthro raven, and hence he bends a knee in solitude to some magic fae. This is ink, marker, and colored pencil. Ah, when art was not commercially-minded. -Kymba
The Enchantress - 07/14/2002 Another older piece: this was one of my early ventures into the wonderful world of ink, marker, and gouache. Even with the somewhat "lanky" anatomy, and ... not-too-planned background, I still adore it. :) Ah, the days of EverQuest.
