Preliminary mockup cover for a possible (someday, someday...) alternative-history comic based on Vicky Wyman's "Xanadu". The premise is that during Empress Alicia's absence on a mission of state ("Across Diamond Seas, Into Golden Skies" series), the nobility of Xanadu begins enacting harsh measures to prevent blurring of the caste system which their power relies on. Meanwhile, an unknown and unlanded Unicorn who prides himself as being "freeborn" leads an uprising against a particularly oppressive lordling...and so Xanadu stands on the verge of Civil War...
