Now THIS one's going back in time. When I worked at WOTC as a concept artist, I ended up doing a lot of the critters and environments. One locale, Yavimaya, was supposed to be an island with a Gaia-like sentience. This power busied herself manufacturing living defenses, from insects right on through elves and such. This was a long-legged Gavial variant I created for the Styleguides. © 1998 WOTC.
