the 2nd of 3 fantasy portraits done for a painting class, this time a happy gryphon! To be sold (hopefully) at Anthrocon 2004. Acrylic on canvas, 22" x 28"
I don't think I'm entirely finished with this, but I never really had time to finish this to the extent I wanted it. Triad color project, yellow-orange, red-violet, and blue-green mixed using only primaries. Painstaking hours of mixing paint and trying to get edges to look nice.
Dolphins and the Moon concept - Just a little something I threw together recently; it's still in the "idea" stage, i.e. it's more of a rough draft. ..Yes, my rough drafts are weird.
A female dragoness slithers up her rock and perches. She looks secretive about something... this took me about 8 hours on and off to finish...cause of the paint. :p And because I lost my little paintbrush! :p
I finally got a new scanner. It seems to pick up lighter colors better, but I still have to give credit to my old scanner for surviving 6 years of heavy use. Anyway, here are some prospectors or something. 11x14 colored pencil & some marker
I don't care if this file is huge. JPG and GIF formats suck. Yerf needs to accept PNG's, and that's all there is to it. :p Anyway... here's snitter with a little inchworm, done in Macromedia Flash MX.
