yerf
<October 14, 1998>
- Gyngerfox of FurryMUCK supporting her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
- In honor of Yerf being back in business, I've added this cleaned-up version my sketchbook's title page, which reads in full, "Showcase of Artists" Kinda like Yerf, eh? It's also one of the best pics of myself/Mistletoe to date.
- Yerf's back up! Yipee skipee! Well, I've been one busy puppy since Yerf went down, and sadly it hasn't been drawing furry stuff. On the up side, it's been lots o' kewl stuff. I'll be launching my new comic strip web site on Nov. 2. (Watch my readme for details.) Here's me frantically using my new art desk, whipping out drawings for my new site. Stand back, or you might get hurt!
- Finally (wow, three at once), here's a tribute to everyone's favorite alley cat. Hey, Gene! Sam tried to draw a picture of you, but... well... it didn't turn out all that good. Forgive this ol' hound dog if he can't hold a candle next to you. Keep on drawin', Geners! We all love your work!
- One of the wonderful surprise joys I received after getting married (besides my wonderful wife) was her cat. When ever I sit down at the computer, within five minutes, she's in my lap, purring as loud as possible. I've never had a cat be so affectionate to me! So here's one for my little Randi, from her "Daddy." (I hope her "Mommy" likes it too!)
- pencil self-portrait of unci (snow leopard), created in fall 1997 on an address card and scanned at high resolution.
- A cat dancer... Meow!
- YERF BACK!YEAH!'Bout time,dangit...this anthro-Pikachu was startin' to get to me!BTW,this is the first part of a series of Po'kemon-bsed pics I hope to put up.PIKA!Po'kemon©Nintendo Inc.
- Back to computer coloring! I like this one, as well; Dr. Da Silva, hehe. Hey, I was watching "Ice," all right? :) Oh, the date! 9-18-98, I do believe...
- I need to keep the drawing materials out of the TV room... and I need to get a decent pen so I can trying inking every once in a while. I drew this after the Dr. Da Silva one, on 9-19-98.
- On 9-3-98: I think this one is cute. :) I love sketches, and there's just something about this particular pic that I like.
- A drawing done in response to a dare by Raven. Kendall hasn't killed me yet for it!
- One of my first drawings from Kaincon. Pandaguy finding just the right words to say to Prismo. ;)
- Concept sketch thing from a not-likely-to-happen-because-Sara-took-it-into-her-head-to-do-an-animated-short-all-by-herself-for-her-portfolio comic book...Lisei and Nick © to me...
- Me with one of my very best friends, Andrew...he's a raccoon...cute, huh? ;o) Both are © to me...maybe I should tell Andrew this...
- My latest foray into the haunted and scary mansion that is 3D Modelling. A bird of exotic, but indeterminatableness species.
- A puzzled platypus, hastily squiggled and shaded. I could probably add a loud red header and pass it off as an obscure comic cover.
- Kit Cloudkicker (© Disney) in the Cub Scouts with Baloo Ursidae. You'd think a Disney type guy like Kit would belong to the Junior Woodchucks instead!
- AltarSkunk blesses Valanna during a St. Francis blessing of the animals service.
- Wha? Yerf is back! Rule! Here is a bit of a Dawndra dog i drew cause i couldnt do anything in her sketchbook when i had it :)
- A drawing i did 'just for the heck of it' quite a while ago, and finished a month ago.. its a kellyfur! what do ya know? :)
- Heheh, it was ErinV's birthday, so i actually finished this one on time.. then i noticed a few problems with it, and fixed it a bit and decided to put it up :)
- Someone once told me i'm supposed to draw more skunks, so here was a little cute sketch...
- A pic of Raina and Zak walking a long a beach on the northwest coast I did for one of my snail mail buds. Zak is copywrite Josh Cutlip. 14x17 colored pencil.
- And this one is for HYOOGE online Quake-like games lovers...
- Dedicated to all people of Resistance, not in cyberspace only...
- A picture made as a birthdaypresent to a friend who likes Warhammer 40000 alot. (But since I don't like violence it became a bit more 'cute')
- The lemur told me he's in favor of capital punishment. This is how I remember my adolescent years. I hope they're not THIS hard on Kit. Sorry about that. Kit's the VERY talented and hopefully light hearted Erin Middendorf. :)
- Austin, Spaceroo, and myself went out to this nifty little diner near RPI for dinner. The whole thing was an adventure, likely as much so for the diner staff as for us, if not moreso. Austin Dern and Spaceroo are © their respective personages.
- It was John Lennon's would-be 58th birthday last week, on Oct. 9. And while I'm not a HUGE Lennon fan, I like his music well enough that I felt it necessary to do something. So here's Lazarus and Elias, from my (somewhat) new comic strip, Tesseract Terrace. An exercise for the viewer:Look at this, then go find some of my old photoshop stuff. Need I say more? Laz and Elias, as well as Tesseract Terrace, are © me.
- A new, fully-functioning Yerf, a new sort of style for me. Yes, I've managed to cram a lot of stylistic development into the last couple months. A lot of it took place over the course of my vacation in NY in September. So here's the new incarnation of Shadow, based loosly off of Alucard from the Playstation's Castlevania game.
- I drew this a couple nights after meeting the infamous (and *VERY* cool) Spaceroo while in NY. It turned out rather nice, and I hope to color it someday when I've time. I feel it's another good example of how much better (or how static) I've gotten. Yeah, sure. Spaceroo's © his wonderful RL self.
- Just a little "test" pic of Scott Alston's merry mephit, Misty Pine. A fun little request pic. :) Now, outa my way... Yerf's back, and I'm art-starved!!! :)
- I've been in a running e-mail conversation with a fur who not only doesn't believe that I used to suck (I did, BTW) but that I'm sometimes dissatisfied with my present art. Everything I draw I carefully evaluate, and if I can't get it to where it has the right "feel", I don't use it. This pic is one of them. It was going to be an e-mail attachment to a friend encouraging him to make a decision. To the fur who asked me so piteously to see one of my 'unseen' pics, here's one. Hope you're happy... :)
- It's a joke. :) My heartfelf thanks and congratualtions and hugs and stuff to everyone responsible for getting the best furry archive on the Net going again! (Would have uploaded more but who the heck wants to sit there in 'rebuild' mode when there's NEW ART to look at?! :) )
- I got me a scanner! This is Melisande, feline ace reporter, and an NPC in my CyFurPunk campaign.
- Yippeeee!!! Yerf's up! Done in Painter 5.0
- Look out for Bigears the fennec on FurryMUCK. Rating: cute and cuddly. Inked with a brush and then given life by the nifty colour work of that big blue froxie who was created by Karsten Auchter. Bigears is © Richard Story.
- It's Super Crazzy! Ooooh, I like that fluffyness! This cute doggie was reeeeequested and is © his owner, er, MaryBeth Keczenski! Her drawings look real cool! SO many little strokies in every pic, oi!
- And this is SapphireWulf, standing dreamily on a nice blue balcony, in a clear, yet nicely warm-windy, moonlit night. Aaaaaaaaah, comfy! o8-) SapphireWulf was also requested and (C) by MaryBeth Keczenski, yah!
- It's Ni'er Shading, my favorite Squargling, heehee! Athie knows why, heh. He also was the FIRST Squar running around ever! Wow! Squarglings and alluvit are © Athena of Axetron

- She is telling him now that Yerf is back.. Oldrabbit can put up more Art.. :)..I think he is just hungry though.. ©1998 B.S.M. Oldrabbit
- Monochrome monitor. (Hey, quit throwing things!) Drawn with an Ebony graphite pencil older than most of you. <sigh>
- "Top Hat & Tails" A lemur I did for the ConiFur art show.
- It's Missy.. again. She's glad that Yerf's back. Thanks, Billy [;)], for coloring this one! Missy's © Sara Hammond.
- It's Dawndra, in all her glory. My scanner does colors nicely. Thanks for the lovely pic -- wish I could have sent this out sooner. Dawndra's © Shelly M.

- Hooray, Yerf is fully functional once again! This is an anthro version of my Pomeranian, Wolfy. She thinks she's ultra-fly in her bell bottoms. Not much, but I'm just so glad that Yerf's back up again I have to upload SOMETHING. Yay! Toned in Photoshop.
- This is a mexican wolf (canis lupus baleyi) aztec codex. Style: Computer design from original.
