- The last page. Yet more "Out of Oakwood Forest" silliness....
- Wolf comic inspired by certain spoofs on Yerf lately.../\_/\ Page One.
- The rest of the wolf comic.
- I've had owls dancing around my mind for several days now, so I finally had to do this drawing in Painter to "release" them. Plus, I think there should be more pieces of art of owls doing hand(wing?)stands, don't you? Of course you do....
- I live! I've been so busy I haven't been online a lot (I'm working on a How-to-Draw Wildlife art book, which will be published next year- major yaaaay!) I'm very happy, very busy, and won't be online a whole lot for awhile, but here's a little something... I did this pastel piece to celebrate the fact that my "Out of Oakwood Forest" characters are 20 years old this year (they were first published in a tiny local paper 20 years ago...) Man, I'm old.
- Just an example of the sort of thing I used to do a lot of: a watercolor/Sharpie marker animal portrait on a hide drum. This drum will eventually be dressed up in feathers and beads by a friend of mine and sold. I was just asked to do this, and thought I'd try scanning it in while I still have it and see if it looked OK, and it did. And no, this great horned owl has never heard of Harry Potter, thank you, though whoooo (sorry) knows, it might like him. /\_/\
- My last big piece for FC- it came right down to the deadline, but I made it, and it will be at FC! This wolf painting was inspired by watching my dogs play. It's an 18 by 24" acrylic on canvas. Yahooie! It's done!
- A random sketch of my pine marten and ringtail characters... still no concrete, definite names for either, but I've had both lurking around my head for years now.
- *waves to everyone* Hi- I'm still here, I was just gone awhile because of CF and then a computer crash that deleted some files and had me offline for 2 weeks! I'm getting caught up, and getting some art done again. Here's something I had been wanting to try- an anthro version of our cat, Pooka. Also known as Spooka. Marker on Bristol Board. PS- I am about to send out the T-shirts from CF! Sorry about the delay....:(
- Well, this page was inspired by some comments in the forum *waves to Lorcat and Cricket*.:) Justin explains the awesome power of possums....or something like that!
- Ok, I couldn't resist Dingbat's idea of a Pufphon (puffin and gryphon)...:) Another Painter and Wacom Tablet piece. Fear the cuteness!
- A pic I did as a thank you to an all-around great (and cute! :)) 'yote by the name of Rainshadow! :) Colored pencil on Bristol Board. BTW- Thank you to all who have emailed me! I just got back from a trip and have a lot of catching up to do, so it may be awhile before I get back to everyone, but I'm trying not to miss anyone! I'm really very honored and happy at your interest in my work! :)
- "Tread Lightly". I've been in a fine-artsy mood lately, and this was inspired by a piece of rattlesnake skin I was given recently. Watercolor and charcoal on watercolor paper. I think I'm going to try more patterns like these...
- I've been super busy at a job lately and haven't had a chance to do much else for the past week, so I was happy when I got the time late last night to do these little sketches...Here's Rusty the Red Fox....
- I'm almost all caught up on my emails! Yay!- Here's a little experiment in markers- a sketch of Rusty yawning.
- Rusty the Red Fox says hi.
- Here's a "Flapper" serval woman...Marker on Bristol Board. I have a bunch of old clippings from the 20's, 30's and so on, and it's fun looking at the old styles. I like Art Deco. The original will be for sale at Confurence.
- Just something I sketched in my drawing pad while waiting for my scanner to finish up. It spilled out over two pages, so I had to piece it together in Photoshop, and I think the attacking wolf came up a little short-looking because of that. Pencil drawing. This is the sort of thing I used to draw after reading Jack London novels.
- Yay! Yerf lives! Tiger charcoal piece that will be appearing at FC....
- Well, here's my first submission to Yerf!...It's a trio of canine adventurers I did last year. Drawn in ink, scanned, and colored in Photoshop.
- A crouching wolf were waits one quiet moment in a moonlit forest. Watercolor, gouche, and a tiny bit of pen. This painting is a result of seeing what was selling at FC (detail, detail, detail, and the "native" look), and I hope this will sell at CF! :) (My apologies if this looks too much like what several other people have done....O_O )
- Another recent piece that was sold at FC (thanks again to all the wonderful people I met there- and the person who bought this! :) "Wolf stare"....I looooove charcoal.
- I'm in! Thank you so much! :) More recent stuff: I obtained a WACOM tablet for my birthday and this was my first major piece. It's Yipper and Furr Coyote, "painted" in Painter using the WACOM.
- Just a little sketchbook page scan-I'm getting excited about going to FC and going back to the Bay Area- maybe this time I'll get to see my beloved blacktailed deer again! Plus, a pic of Rusty the Red Fox, just because. Also, I'd like to let people know I'm way behind on my email again, and I'm working on it, but it may take some time as I wrap things up for FC. I look forward to seeing folks there!
- Ok- a new one! I did this today just to remind myself that I CAN color outside of Photoshop! Marker and colored pencil only. It's one of my characters, Yipper Coyote.
- More Yipper Coyote....
- Yet another Yipper Coyote (pencil) pic....He may look a bit sad, but I'm feeling pretty good myself right now! Glad Yerf is back. :) Yay!
- ...and here's Yipper Coyote looking in a tree-root cluttered hole dug in a hillside somewhere...what he's scared of I don't know. Sketch is ballpoint pen.
- Hi all- just posting a sketch to let you know I'm still around... just busy lately. Here's Yipper Coyote, lookly confused, as usual... and apparently weightless, too, which might be why he's confused!
- A (mostly)Painter/(a little)Photoshop piece I did of Yipper Coyote for my online comics page http://jcamberlyn.com/oc.html . Look! Snow!!! (...Said as I melt from the current heat wave...)
