On March 1st, 2004, a friend and fellow cystic fibrosis patient passed away. Some of you may have seen the flyer we were passing around to find lobe (lung) donors for Allie; 5 were found. Days before her donors were to be tested, the disease blew out the light. She was only 17 years old. Allie reminded me of a beautiful mourning dove, so that was the inspiration for this picture--she's flying away into the Creator's arms. Rest in peace, Allie, I love you.
