While most abominations (failed Golems that have still managed to obtain life) are independent organisms, many were so mangled during their creation that they've become parasitic creatures. Humans, as in this unlucky soul, are their favorite targets. The victim is usually rendered unrecognizeable, but retains control of his/her body and mind.
