Edited for yerf. He's not gassy. He's not regurgitating his last meal. He's NOT about to get nasty with the rocks. He's STRETCHING, dammit. You're ill-- You know who you are. ;)
It keeps following him, but I'm just glad it's done. :D For a short story accompanyment written by the extraordinarily talented Linn Draper, visit my livejournal: http://www.livejournal.com/users/spacehyena
"Your stockpile of Milkbone is low. Gorragh the DevilDog is displeased." An unpublished illo for Hero Game's 'Grimoire' source book of a devilish canine and his ol' croney of a pal.
allright, allright..I'll upload it already. This was an illustration done sometime last year for Mr. Jeff Rogers for a story of his in a recent issue of 'Anthrolations.' i'm glad he enjoyed the drawing...because i still haven't quite warmed up to it. ;}
'Jump!' A wayward jogger is transported to a distant, hellish plane and is nearly slain by sentient, rabid wildfires...when along comes Vehn, a Golem. (Re-upload: more tweaks, more polish.)
I'm not going to add to the posting-of-christmas/holiday-picture-trend...trends, no matter how small, are scary to me (as are holidays.) This here's a sketchy kingfisher critter and one of the few things I've been able to scrape out of my creative urges since graduation.
Sorry for the size.. the original is 12 by 17. Copics and prisma pencils have brought this orientalish critter to semi-life on textured design cardstock (hence the vertical 'stripes'.) :)
This is my reconstruction of Kponiugo, a mythical horned being with the visage of a hyena and the tusks of a warthog. It served Senufo villages by keeping evil spirits at bay. IMHO, it's unethical to depict specific symbols from cultures that do not apply to me, but I had to see what a living, breathing Kponiugo could possibly look like. I tried my best to be as accurate and in keeping with the description/sources as possible.
Laughing Knives enjoys a heaping side of felid jerky with her breakfast each morning. She and her circular whip are sizing up the head-hyena's family's next meal right now...
Magic the Gathering card for the latest expansion showing a feline critter showing off his formidable weaponry. Working title: 'Leonin Bracers'. Pencils and inital paints by yours truly, amazing finishing work by Anthony 'Fireant' Waters. Unfortunately thanks to a little post-production hiccup, I wasn't credited on the cards themselves.
