Kyono Malnassy (Tapestry) —2/3 >
My second try at Aislinn. I've turned the little runes on her tunic back to black (their origional color) because the goldish shade seemed to fade out a bit and changed her black tipped tail and ears to a darker shade of grey as well as adding some stripes to her forehead, which was looking somewhat bare. This is my favorite rendition of her of the amazing total of four I've drawn so far. Aislinn (C) myself.
This is my first pic of my Furry, Aislinn (meaning "vision or dream," hence the somewhat fanciful attire) so *don't you day laugh*. I wasn't *quite* pleased with it, but I think some of the coloring is the best I've done so far, even though my inking skills are almost nonexistant. Aislinn (C) myself.
A picture of Cuanu, the first Furry I ever attempted. You'll notice a lot of things here so far are actually scribbles of Conna's creations, which is only fair since this is all her fault. ;) Actually, I just stumbled into her page while reading her Gargoyle story and then found the Archive, sooo... Well, anyway, she encouraged me to put my stuff up here instead of leaving it to float around my hard drive, so here I am. I suppose I should thank her... or is it the other way around? ;) All right, I'll stop now... Cuanu is (C) Conna Stevenson (well, duh.)
Karr Wyn, a character from Conna Stevenson's "Foreigners" fanfic, looking somewhat moody. It scanned a few shades darker than I would have liked, but otherwise none the worse for wear. I was relieved that it turned out as well as it did, considering I've never seen her *not* grinning demonically... Karr (C) Conna Stevenson.
Another Foriegner pic, this time of Phon Achana. I rather liked this one -- it was a great deal of fun, yet only took about an hour to color and ink. (This, if you're wondering, is pretty short for me.) I'm hesitant to try another, because... well, you really don't want to see what my *first* effort looked like. Trust me. Phon (C) Conna Stevenson.
Sigh. Guess who's Gargoyle this is? Yep, Conna's creation, Rissa. Actually, this turned out pretty well except for the shorts -- one of the legs is uneven, and I didn't notice until I finished inking! Sheesh, was it late or what? Those kind of things haunt me, y'know. Ah well, maybe next time. Rissa is (C) Conna Stevenson.
I don't know what possesed me to do this, but this is Aislinn in a Sailor suit -- and not very happy about it. I don't blame her -- I would be a little miffed too. I'm not sure how accurate the costume is (I didn't really have anything to compare it with and anyway, it was spur of the moment) but I hope no one rates me for my faulty memory. Aislinn (C) me.
This is the fourth anime version of Aislinn I've ever done. I'm not entirely satisfied, but overall it's fairly good. I drew it yesterday and colored it completely in Photoshop, then decided not to add a background. Ah well. (If you're wondering about the belt-ish item, there is a reason -- throughout the course of the story, Aislinn slowly gains armor. This is the third incarnation of her "uniform" and probably not the last... (Aislinn is (C) myself.)
Second attempt at an anime Aislinn, and perhaps one of my favorites. Otherwise known as "how many ways Tapestry can screw with perspective and still come out reasonably well." I went a little trigger-happy on Adobe, as you can see... (Aislinn (C) me.)
All right, this is my first attempt at an anime version of Aislinn, made specifically for use in a story that's so strange you probably don't even want to know. The second version of her clothing... (If I'm not careful I'll do a comic. Don't encourage me.;)
Well, here's the first incarnation of Aislinn's outfit. The pose is odd for me -- I try not to do side-profiles with her if I can help it because I'm still not that good at this, but I think it worked out all right -- more or less, anyway. I believe this is a "contemplation" pose... perhaps I'll re-do it and use it for something else later.
Thank you *so* much for setting me off, Conna! <G> This is the product of too much free time in school and the insistance of Cuanu's creator that the files are *not* too big... at least, I hope they aren't. Page 1 of Sailor Cinnamon and Sailor Dreams' little "understanding." ;)
Page two of my Cuanu & Aislinn "comic". Please forgive me for the lousey quality, but it was a *huge* file and the text generator is still fickle about this kind of thing...
Black and white, done in less than forty minutes. Aislinn looks lonely because *I* was...
Third page in the Sailors Cinnamon/Dreams "comic," full page... Er, it's a little smaller than I intended, but Adobe is trying to play mindgames with me. (Obviously, Adobe is winning. ;) Cuanu/Cinnamon is (C) Conna Stevenson.
Man, do I like drawing depressing stuff or what? Sorry, 'tis just my nature... but I think it turned out rather well. Just a mere pencil sketch for now, but I'll probably ink and color it later... Aislinn (C) myself.
Here's the origional pic, now colored and inked. (What can I say, I hate to leave things half-done.) Aislinn is (C) me.
This is my pathetic attempt to repay the wonderful Gene Catlow (aka Albert Temple) for his kind words of encouragement, even before I started on the SFCA. I'm going to appologize if I messed up and sent this twice -- been having problems.
Thank you so much for the beautiful pic, Gene! This is my little way of saying "thank you," whipped up in pencil *really* fast, 'cause time's been scant lately. I think it speaks for itself. ;) Gene Catlow (C) Albert Temple, Aislinn (C) myself.
Here you go, Gene! A *very* quick character profile of Aislinn, done in no small part to relieve myself of the agony of Biology class...
A quick, badly-scanned pencil sketch that is a kind of tribute to my two favorite Furs, Cuanu and Gene Catlow! I hope this adds on better than last night's attempt...Cuanu (C) Conna Stevenson, Gene (C) Albert Temple.
This is another quickie I did today -- one of Aislinn (from the story, not the representation of me) encountering the sea-serpent Strahan. And *no*, I am not crossing into Yiffy stuff, so getcher minds out of the gutters. ;) Inspired by a still-scene from "Jaitera: The Emerald World," by AP Graham.
This is silly. It was a pic inspired by Templeton (pictured here) when he put Sailor Cinnamon and Sailor Dreams together with a mysterious masked skunk. Don't ask me why I did this. :) All featured characters belong to their respective players/creators.
Well, I decided I should pull my weight in the timewrinkle story (as Gene *was* nice enough to use my character) and decided to create a sub-plot. That's right, another one. :) I'm still working on the speech bubbles/patterns of the characters, experimenting to see what fits the best, but it *should* be okay... I hope. noBrainR(C) Albert Temple...
Part the second in my installment... this took me most of the day yesterday (which isn't saying much, really, as I was in school) but still, I hope it proves somewhat interesting... (and yes, I like angst. I'm sorry. Really.) noBrainR (C) Albert Temple.
After some brief consulting with Gene I believe we have settled on a direction for this insanity, so watch out. ;) Yes, I have a *lot* of spare time at school...
Okay, more Time Wrinkle stuff. I know I get confusing sometimes (okay, half the time even *I* don't know what I'm doing) so I'm hoping to elaborate a little. There's a fourth bit to this "installment," but it's only half-done, so I'll just post as is. For now.
Continuation, here. I think I should plan panel-space a little more carefully next time. (I was tired when I did this -- and it shows.)
The last page for today. I was playing around with Adobe's special efects, so that will account for some of the weirdness. I also messed up on Tapestry's leg a little, but the resolution buggered it up a tad anyway so I suppose it doesn't matter... oh, and Tapestry is (C) me, BTW...
And it was all a dream... a horrible, horrible dream... or flashback.
