< 3/4— Kitsumi (Kitsumi, Kit)
- Like almost every other member of Yerf I had a comic in the works that I've buried for a couple years.. I always liked Spittem (nick- his real name is Stanley) cause he was a kind-hearted brother figure to Kitsumi- I updated his original character design (don't old drawings always need that? =P) and took a nice break from schoolwork to doodle this with stuff I found in my desk (color pencil and pen). Um yeah.. don't mind the anatomical/technical errors and don't try to figure out what kind of gun he's using. ;P
- A commission I did for Eric Goodwin, of Sir Kain. Please do not distribute © 1997
- A character sheet of a commission I'm working on. Darryl Strafe is © by his player.
- Sold at FC, prints available soon.. :D Isn't doodling in class awesome? You get the best ideas from not paying attention to the professor.. Inspired by my sugar freak little sister too.. =P
- This pic is similar to one of the other drawings in my archive, but this one came first, about a year before. Just a Kitsumi in the rain.... it's kind've peaceful, in a sad/enlightened way.
- Fortune anyone? It's a siamese cat, or at least my rendition of one. My favorite parts of the original were her eyes, the cards, and the stones she's wearing. :D My markering techniques have improved a bit since I've drawn these last 4 uploads.. not satisfactory yet, but don't all artists feel that way?
- Re-upload (previous image too large): pic for the drawing bet. Jonas and I hung out on the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica, and as you can tell from the doodle, the inspiration walking around can be rather interesting. We made 50 bucks drawing some logos for some clothing store there, so that made up for the trauma. Punk cougar is © to me, markers and a brush-ink-pen I mangled.
- Foxes! Yah, tired of 'em aren't you guys? This pic came out of some color experimentation.. well, maybe not that much experimenting- I drew it more as an exercise. I dont' color pics too often, but picked up blending recently. Anyway, markers on bristol, brushpen inked (ebay # 385515577)
- Tinyfox © Raven, Image © Kitsumi! Please do not alter, distribute, etc. Prints will be available at CF10 or by request through email! :>
- I have never seen such a horrible scanner before in my whole life. Then again, my friend said it cost $25... :P Here's a tokkie (korean for rabbit) that was doodled as a favor for a friend. He treated me to the best korean bbq in L.A. =9 Yes, there's a million things wrong with the pic, thompson submachine gun included.. (the bunny's left handed, so there.) And to those who i owe commissions to, by the conclusion of this year............
- A pencil pic I did awhile ago for Sanguine Ltd., producer of the Ironclaw rpg. The Phelan wolf supplement should be available soon. :) Anyways, if you've seen my earlier pic of a Rinaldi fox riding the destrier, these Phelans are hunting a lizard-type creature of the same species. Only he's a bit bigger, and twice as nasty.
- This was drawn last summer, after I saw some neat super-stylized cover art on some Barnes and Noble books. It was further inspired by Sondra Roy's work, she has awesome art, gestural aspects and all. :) Man, don't you hate it when two shoppers go ga-ga over an article of clothing? And for some weird reason the cat reminds me of Ally McBeal.........
- One of the pieces I had up in the FC artshow titled "Racking Up Travel Miles" :P It's a followup piece to my Frequent Flyers pic. Crummy scanner.
- I had a lot of fun at FC this past weekend despite the massive headache from malnutrition and marker fumage (yay for soup out of the can.. literally. >_<). I met some great people, and overall had a nice break from school. Lookin' forward to next year.. ;) Inks and marker, titled 'Waiting for you'.
- First it was storming like the end of the world, then it got warm enough to declare it officially summer in California.. and then today I got a brain freeze whenever I went outside. Anyway, this is a pic that was in the FC2001 art show.. prints available soon eh?
- An old (about a year or so?) rough sketch/character design of a gryphon chief for one of my probably-will-never-be-published comic ideas. He's wearing battle duds. Cool beans huh? No name yet though...Big Bad Chief Griff © to Kitsumi.
- A sketch from a little while ago (it has a little bit of inking in it) of a feral-wolfish-type gazing into the water. Sorry for that wrinkly paper look. o.O
- Ever have one of those really bad days?
- A pencil pic of a young Kitsumi with her raven companion Zoltan. Kit is © 1997 by Kitsumi
