- Another shot of KiChii.
- And along those lines I came up with the perfect manservant/chauffer/torpedo for Gene's evil twin Doktor Catlove Make sure you duck if this guy tips his hat to you. Doktor Catlove © Albert Temple.
- Kobek and Sons.
- Astro Wallaby meets a fellow space adventurer. He doesn't seem to have very much luck with the green ones. Astro Wallaby © John Siemer
- Largo, the lightning turtle and heavy weapons enthusiast of the Mutant Bastards. This image is him before he acquired his beloved artifact laser rifle. Largo © Ben Hitmar
- Laika the Cosmodog (a.k.a. The Canine Valkyrie of Space) prepares to put the kibosh-ski on a Rampaging Space Monkey. This image is the result of listening to too much "Man...Or Astroman" too late at night.
- Hey. It's been a while since I uploaded anything, so in honor of getting my mitts on a scanner, I'm posting some sketches. Not much background to them, just random drawings of crittery types.
- Everyone's favorite galactic health care professional, Lysozyme, examines some diagnostic scans. Lysozyme © Juan Crespo
- Spaceroo's O.D.'d on woad, and has gone a wee bit daft, if ye ken. Spaceroo © John Siemer
- And now... A really cheezed off werewolf. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
- Ach! It's the mad genius Doktor Catlove, Gene Catlow's megalomaniacal twin. The BIGFELLA MACHINE is a proud supporter of mad science. Gene Catlow © Albert Temple
- Texas Jake Horse has been havin' a rough time of it recently, and now the mesa's done blowed up. Gol'durn it. (Guess I was wrong about the mutant gunslingers thing.) Texas Jake © Craig Worrell
- I've been doing a lot of stuff from the Wild West, so I figured I'd do something from the Wild East. It's Monkey! A.K.A. The Great Sage Equal to Heaven. He's from this fantastic Chinese folk novel by Wu Ch'eng-En, which I'd recommend to anybody. There's a great translation by Arthur Waley. Slapstick comedy and Buddhism, fantastic!
- Mr. Gillman sez Happy Halloween.
- This one goes out with a tip o' the hat to the lovely Ms. Trixi, for her kind e-mail the other day. It's also to show I can do more than just mutant gunslingers and aliens. Trixi © Candy Lewin
- In the radioactive deserts around Mesa Negre, a mutant posse poses for a portrait with their prized artifact weapons. These guys are characters in a "Gamma World" campaign I'm running. L to R we got Hannibal, Pedro, Billy the Goat, Joe Dog, "Slick" Willie, Texas Jake Horse, Helio Espinosa, and Largo. All characters © their players.
- A nameless lab rat, basically a blank slate of a mind encased in a ten foot living weapon of a body, emerges from his slumber in an ancient biolab into the violent, confusing world of the New West. This character was developed by Fred Richards, and is © him.
- Heartiest greetings to Gene Catlow, whose art and e-mail I have considerably enjoyed and who influenced me to jump into the S.C.F.A. Gene Catlow © Albert Temple
- Finally, for a break from all that gut wrenching horror, here's one of Squee's Kaihn done up New Western style. A tip o' the hat to the purple rat. Based on the Kaihn, which are © Charla Trotman
- Here's somethin' creepy. In the upside down world of The New West, there are beasts that would be men, and burn with such desire to walk in that fallen race's footsteps that they would strike a bargain with the technological demons that dwell in the crypts beneath the wastelands.
- Amara the Jedi Masta', kickin' up the Shasta, she uses a light saber, not a blasta'... uh...sorry. Amara© Amy Pronovost, Star Wars stuff © LucasArts
- The Pexxi are a sentient race dwelling in the Procyon system.
- PLAID! PLAID! PLAID! Anise © Ainsley Seago, an true expert on such things.
- It's that time of year again. Time to go out and gut yourself a pumpkin. Assisting Gene Catlow in this grueling task is the Raccoon Kids' herculean Dad. Try roasting the seeds with some salt. It's a great snack. Gene Catlow & Raccoon Dad © Albert Temple.
- ...the Rastagators will. Bring your swim fins.
- I figured if anybody should be a Colonial Ranger, it's Spaceroo, being the seasoned space marsupial that he is. Spaceroo © John Siemer
- Yep, just like Gene said, he and I traded these images over e-mail last year roundabout this time. Now that the human ban is lifted, it seems like the season to share 'em here on Yerf. Larry The Were (C) Albert Temple, Joe Violence & Artwork (C) B.J. Johnson
- When Gene sent me the first image as a one liner, I got a real charge out of it, and it kinda set the wheels in my head to turnin'. The character of a werewolf trying to work off his curse as honest as he could manage appealed to me, and this little two parter grew out of it. Little did I know Gene was gonna up the ante a little bit the next time around... Larry The Were (C) Albert Temple, Joe Violence & Artwork (C) B.J. Johnson
- When things get out of hand, you have to know when to improvise, and when to go with the old standbys. Joe puts a period on this brutal little encounter quickly, but are his and Larry's problems really over? One Eye & Larry(C) Albert Temple, Joe Violence & Artwork (C) B.J. Johnson
- Y'see, to a man in Larry's delicate condition, you gotta keep your emotions under control, and you've gotta avoid anything that could set you off, like blood or a fight. Sadly, this evening's little scuffle leaves more than enough of both to send him over the edge. One Eye & Larry(C) Albert Temple, Joe Violence & Artwork (C) B.J. Johnson
