- Greetings to Abacus Jura, who furnished me with a warm welcome shortly after I joined the SCFA. Abacus Jura © Jason Williams
- Into the air, with one of the famous "Blue Angels"! (Actually, the era's all wrong, but the pun could no longer be contained.) Warmest greetings to MelSkunk, crack aerialist of the AAWD. MelSkunk © Melissa Drake
- HAI-Keeba! Amara's kung fu skills are better than yours! Her fists will fall like rain upon the faces of evildoers! Her dialogue will be out of sync with her mouth! Her kind e-mail will be pleasing to the virtuous! Amara © Amy Pronovost
- "Well I've sailed all 'round the world, and I've courted many a girl, but my rambling days are done, I've been from Corasol up to Tokyo and I've found there's only one. Angelina, Angelina, please bring down your concertina and play a welcome for me, 'cos I'll be coming home from sea." Lyrics by Irving Burgie. Sung by Harry Belafonte.
- The Arisen are the terror of the Southern Reaches of Lamaria. These super evolved reptile-men advance from the depths of the jungle to wreak havoc on mankind.
- Astro-Catlow, surfing the cosmic warp ! Gene Catlow © Albert Temple, who's as big a "Man...Or Astroman?" fan as I am.
- Hey, it's upload 100 for the Bigfella Machine. Took me long enough...Anyway, to keep me from getting a swelled head, B-Artisan is proudly displaying an early version of a Capellan* I did way back in eighth grade or so. Yeah, yeah...you can put that away now, B. (*They were called "Sarrods" back in those days.)
- Here's an old illustration assignment I did in my greener days. We had to illustrate an ad, the blurb for which was "Coping with unexpected growth." It's done in colored pencil, but I guess it still counts as "mouse art". This one goes with a tip o' the hat to Rat, for running this swell archive.
- More stuff from the sketchbook. The Missouri Birdman is the tabloids' name for an alien cyborg currently in the government's employ.
- Apparently landsharks taste like cold cuts. Go figure... The dreadful Fox Shark © Amy Pronovost.
- The Grand High Pod Leader and Top of the Food Chain, Tsunami III, despot of the city state of Reenland, with some of his elite bodyguard, the Tigershark Corsairs.
- A boggart harvester, also known as a sneak theif to those with bad manners, a master of turning yours into his with all the stealthy skills of his people.
- Anise doing the Highland Fling. Making the world safe for Scottishness. Anise © Ainsley Seago
- I've just undergone a major relocation, starting out in a really, really cool new job. Between that and the holidays, I've been moving around quite a bit. Not the sheer distances travelled by my friend B-Artisan here, but substantial nonetheless. (BTW I've got a new e-mail address : [email protected]. Drop me a line if you like. Hopefully I'm not going anyplace for a while now.)
- The rootinest, tootinest, hifalutinest cowpoke in the New West stops at a friendly watering hole for a drink. Gene's the most non-bastard mutant I ever did see. Wheee-Hawken! Gene Catlow © Albert Temple.
- B-Artisan tossing the caber. Capellans love games, especially big, thumping, active games like the Scots Games. This one's dedicated to Anise and Gene.
- J-Officer is a Capellan Saurian serving on a human S.W.A.T. team in the Daedalus Colonies.
- Gene learns to his chagrin that there are some places you can take a visiting Capellan, and some you can't. There's no such thing as passive entertainment to the Capellans, everything's participatory. Gene would have been better to take B-Artisan to karaoke, rather than the opera, it's all the same to him anyhow. Gene Catlow © Albert Temple
- A Capellan spacer, in full vacuum suit. This individual made an appearance in a sidetracked story I was working on. This was before I'd fallen completely under the spell of Adobe Illustrator.
- Avast, 'tis Cap'n Grakk, the terror of the Flordaa Keys, and his first mate Squinty, wastin' away again inmargaritaville. Aarrrrr. (Admiral Wallaby back there appears with apologies to John Siemer, and is © him.)
- Gene and I have been discussing some acquatic sentients of mine known as the Quatril in depth (pardon the pun) So I booked him on an FTL to their homeworld in the Alpha Centauri system. I think he enjoyed himself. Gene Catlow © Albert Temple.
- Grey Lensman Gene Catlow, protecting the galaxy from the hideous Boskone. I found out Gene's as much a Lensmen fan as I am, and I mean the original books, NOT the ripoff anime. Anybody who's into 30's and 40's pulp science fiction has the right stuff to be a Lensman, as far as I'm concerned. Clear Ether, Gene! Gene Catlow © Albert Temple, Lensmen & Boskone © E.E. "Doc" Smith
- The Diggers are an amiable species of mutant armadillo common across the New West. They're pretty peaceful as long as you leave them alone, but watch it, they're genius' at making explosives. Check them and other oddities out in the New West area of my website.
- Draw yer guns and come out shootin', you varmints! The Coyote Kid's just blown into town, and the New West just got a lot wilder. The Coyote Kid © Cameron Floyd
- Spaceroo's been having some hardware trouble. "We can rebuild him... we have the technology. We can make him stronger...faster..." Spaceroo © John Seimer + Briareos © Masamune Shirow = This guy © Me.
- Here are some individual shots of the models I used for "Jupiter, Bringer of Joviality" in my series based on Holst's "Planets Suite". The eagle, being a symbol of Jupiter, is joined in the foreground by his Empress, who sort of veers between butterfly and peacock. The rest don't have any symbolic meaning, just interesting heads to place on the revellers.
- The Duke and Duchess.
- The Baron and Baroness.
- Here's a mutant armadillo packin' some heat, one of the distant ancestors of my New West GAMMA WORLD scenario. He later became a bit player in one of the adventures of the Mutant Bastards.
- Another cobweb festooned 3D rendering, this time of one of my favorite AD&D heavies, a gnoll. More of a historical curiosity than anything else.
