"Crystal Waters" I felt the need to try something new, to challenge myself. And voila! This came out. :) Watercolours and oils on 22" x 28" aquarelle paper.
Started off as a simple drawing of a horse head. Then I had to make a body. Then I had to colour it. Ooops, it became grey! :) So now I have a reference sheet of my character, Ailah!
Sorry for the re-upload, but we went and got a photo of it at a studio. The result is perfect, the scan was way too yellow. So... "Gold" Cretacolour hard pastels on blue/grey velour paper. 20" x 25"/A2/55 x 65 cm Approximately 50 hours of work.
Um, yes, I didn't mean to detail it to death. o_o I was supposed to do it in a bit looser style... But that really ain't for me, it turns out. So, my first drawing done in Painter 9. It's of Henke, my character.
